I wonder if you buy 2 of these 30kg) whether the bars are long enough to have all the smaller weights on to make 15kg each :/ . Would work out much cheaper

EDIT: each bar is actually 1.5kg, not 3kg, so the most you'll get on each bar is 13.5kg.

Assuming they haven't changed the dimensions in the past few years, the max usable length on either side of the bar, while still being able to put on the screwlock collars, is c. 10.5cm.

The 1.25kg plates are 2cm thick. The 0.5kg plates are 1.5cm thick.

With two sets, the most you could put on would be 4*1.25kg + 2*0.5kg per side of each dumbell (plus 1.5kg bar), so 13.5kg per dumbbell (and that with the spinlock collar pretty sketchily half on half off). (edited)

The plastic collars don't look particularly confidence inspiring.

The plastic collars seem like a downgrade but they actually stay in place better than the old cast iron ones

Had these since 2012, still holding up strong. Very happy to have them during lockdown (edited)

I arm curl 20kg 3x12 sets. Do you even workout bro?

I hope your insecurity level is ok now you've told everyone how strong you are

Also did you know those spinny, locky things at either end, you can take them off, buy and add more weight until it's heavy enough! Unbelievable technology!

Now we know why gym bros are called meatheads (edited)

Still waiting for the 20kg set yorkfitness.com/pro…set to go down in price to £29.99 as I missed the deal last year

Me to - although i would be just as happy if the cheaper plastic collar version hit £29.99.

I was looking for some decent cast iron weights. Heat from me

    Very tempted to

Looking for heavies configurable to 12.5 and 15 but these seem a bit of a stretch to take there and would need more weights anyway. But good deal if you don't have lighter.

Any pricing data for them having been £79.99? Or if that's even a reasonable price? Because it feels very fake.

Thanks OP - seems a good deal at that price.

I have these. They're okay. The locks loosen very easily which is only a mild annoyance.

    The nylon locks loosen?

    Is this 15 kg each
    S23's avatar
13.5kg according to a comment in this thread. The bar weighs 1.5kg only
