About this deal

A good offering via Costco at the moment. It doesn't include weights or a bar, but I don't think that's a deal breaker here. Costco currently don't have any super duper offers on weights though, so could be worth a scout around to see what you can get them for, before buying, so you can figure out the total before deciding.

Delivery is free, but it is ground floor delivery only.

Obviously If I were delivering it, I'd pop it on one shoulder and walk up 90 sets of stairs, while having a protein shake. Sadly, I'm washing my hair that day though (Sorry)

Bought this when it was last on offer with the weights included. Which obviously are necessary for use.

Overall quite sturdy. Does sway a bit with excessive use.

Takes two people to put it together. But instruction video is very good.
They labeled one of the pillars incorrectly so ended up installing it backwards, so we had to take the thing apart to turn it round.

One of the pulley weight holders was cracked but still does the job.

Overall can get a decent workout from it.

Smith machine will need often lubrication as well.

I put it together in our garage, the way it comes delivered on a large wodden pallet, with the pillars upright means they could only drop it off in the drive way, they cannot bring it into the house.

You'll have to dispose of the pallet yourself and it comes with side panels so you need to dismantle (with a saw) it unless you have a van to take it to the skip.

I paid £1200 for this just after Covid. I use it two times a week, it’s very good for a home gym replacement for an average guy. I swapped the bench for one with leg extension and decline. It will last ages if looked after and can do lots that I could do in the commercial gym. Dips, low row, lat pull downs, lying cable flys, tricep pull down. No issues in 2 and a half years use. Smith machine is very good in my amateur opinion. Adjustable cables would be nice but you can do some cable exercises lying down on the bench which works ok. (edited)

I'm stuck with a pair of dumbbells and a foldable bench at home. Are these these best all in one home gym type machines??

You’d be amazed at what you can get on FB marketplace. I bought a power rack there and then added a cable set up to it which I bought new from the same manufacturer. As I’ve gone on though, I use the barbell less and less and more focus on dumbbells now, so you may not need as much as you think
