S22 series have now all been reduced on the 4gadgets website, Similar to the S23 deal HERE, the code 15OFFHUKD24 gets you £15 off all three, a code we worked on with 4gadgets for the community, grade Fair is the lowest grade, followed by Good, Excellent, then pristine, all 4gadgets phones come boxed in a 4gadgets branded box with cable and 12 months warranty, they have all size variants available currently at of course slightly differing prices

As a nice example, Currys will give you £325 for a working S22, £375 for an S22 Plus, and £425 for the Ultra if buying an S24 series phone

I have had an S22 Plus for year and a half and it's scratched to hell. I've not treated it any differently to my previous Galaxy phones which all had an odd scratch or two in comparison.

I don't know what they changed with the screen but I've not scratched a phone this badly in years.

Just looked on the samsung website. You could buy an s22 plus here and trade it in for a new s24, and make a little on the trade in
  3. scotinthecity's avatar
Avoid. The Exynos chip model used in the S22 has some of the worst battery life performance in the game and you will find anything used even worse.

Well I get a day and half out of mine with light use and about a day with constant use not playing games but using it for sat nav purposes for example. It's hard to quantify really as we all use our phones differently but I would say I'm a light to medium user who easily gets a full day and a bit on average. I've had it for about 11 months from new. Tempted to get the Ultra, even though I don't need a phone right now. Wanted to buy a tablet, but thought could buy an ultra instead.

Go for S23 if you can. I have the S22 Ultra and its a brilliant phone but I genuinely didn't notice much better battery life than my ageing Note 9 (from 2018). Better to avoid the phones with Samsung chips.

Decent looking deal for an ultra. Not sure why have you included the currys trade in prices? Got me slightly confused as how does directly relate?

Buy ultra for 335 and exchange for 425 (edited)

Have Curry's changed their trade in prices, just tried the S22 Ultra and they only give £300?

Sorry, I should have clarified, these are if you are buying the S24 / ultra.

S22 Ultra pricing is amazing (usually £400 is considered a decent price) and as many will attest, this is one of the better preowned sellers out there, even their Fair grade should be ok, but obviously there are some who will expect pristine but don't want to pay for it - just be reasonable and should be fine. Not a lot to separate this phone from newer ones, other than 128GB is very stingy and easy to fill.

"Devices in ‘Fair’ Condition have some minor signs of wear and tear on the screen and casing and the previous owner likely didn’t use a case or a screen protector."

I gave heat, but the Fair Condition doesn't seem very refurbished to me.

    UltraValue_Tech's avatar
I don't think u know what refurbished means, it just means it has been turned on to make sure it works and wiped with a cloth...

Just had a look as I'm selling an S22 Ultra. The comparable option to mine in 'Excellent' condition with replacement box/peripherals is £460. Mine is in 'Pristine' with all original mostly as new untouched bits, extras, original packaging etc and is listed on eBay for less as are others. I'm not sure how good a deal this is really? Buying from an individual seller, and buying from a retailer offering 12 months warranty are totally different things

Im still rocking a S5 beat that guys.

Our back up phone that always saves our arses is a S6. When someone in the house drops a phone and brakes it, this bad boy comes out and saves the day.

Still surprisingly quick for an oldie.

Phone arrived today. I ordered the S22 Ultra in green in 'good' condition.

The phone is absaloutly immaculate, not a single blemish or scratch on it anywhere, not a single mark near the camera area where most phones tend to get marked. It could pass off as brand new.

Impressed as I expected the odd mark or ding on it. Everything seems to be working well too.

Impressed. Thanks for the heads up on it

S22 ultra looks 🔥 at that price.

Thanks, never gelled with my Pixel 6 after breaking my Note 20 Ultra. Ordered the S22 Ultra in good condition (wasn't in stock this morning and only £10 more). Though I think the site has changed my ordered colour from green to phantom black, not too much bother.

Will post back the condition when it arrives. Heat added, thank you

This is a very good price, considering it's still supported for many more years

I have an Ultra, paid over £1000 for it a year and a half ago. Shocked at this price tbh! Hot.

Finally gave in after umming and arring for the last 3 weeks and got the S22 ultra in white - arrived today and seems in great condition.
    Cheers!

I was tempted by one of these deals back in 2020 and bought an S10+ but never got any security or OS updates till now. Is that why they're so cheap?
    FlatulentFox's avatar
Curious… I purchased an S22 Ultra here almost a year ago and have received updates more or less every other month since. I'd check Google and see what the latest update was for the S10+ – it may no longer be supported. I believe, by default, it installs updates in the background, waiting for an idle hour to update, i.e., when charging.

Regardless, my experience has been very favorable. My first phone had some burn-in, but I received a replacement within 48h of emailing a few photos to customer service. Absolutely perfect since!

Would anybody mind telling me how any (all?) of these compare to a Pixel 6a please?
    dcoolsam's avatar
I've Pixel 6A, it's a nice phone, except the fingerprint reader is absolutely rubbish. Most times it wouldn't recognise fingerprints. There are some guides on YT on how to fix the issue. I had Pixel 6, had the same issue, so I returned it. Pixel 6A is given by office so obviously can't return.

BTW Pixel 6A is like a FE version of Samsung phones. Samsung S22 series is rock solid, If you can get S22 ultra, it is such an amazing device for this price. S-Pen, Big and bright screen, brilliant cameras. (edited)

Who knows! It's a lottery. That's part of the fun with these deals!

The Samsung Galaxy S22 series smartphones will receive Android software updates for up to four years. This means the phones, including the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra (among other models), will be updated through to the Android 16/One UI 8.

The S22 was released on March 11 2022 in the UK. So the last update will probably be on 11 March 2026 (less than three years). (edited)

I remember people saying the battery life was poor on a Samsung phone unsure if it's the S21 or S22.. I'm in the market for a phone and I buy it outright. S24 Ultra is too expensive so I'm thinking of buying the S23 ultra (refurbished) is the battery life any good?
    pritchdingo's avatar
I'm running a 23 ultra, with the battery protection on. Charging to 85%. Battery lasts 2 days of light use.

Quite refreshing, I can confidently go to sleep and not have to worry about it dying at night.

Battery on my s22 ultra isn't the best, saying that it's 2 years old so may need an upgrade

Evelyn service for me, ordered a good s23 ultra on Wednesday, it arrived Thursday and is in pristine condition. Will definitely use again.
Anyone used them to sell their old phones?
  27. OB1's avatar
How much RAM do the UK versions of the S22 Ultra have? I'm seeing mixed messages, this seller quotes them all at 8GB which I don't think is incorrect. (edited)
    Adaks_'s avatar
    8gb

I ordered the s23 ultra in excellent, opened today and about 3 scratches on the screen will be sending back.
    Adaks_'s avatar
    micro scratches or deep ones?
  29. obloldo's avatar
I'm not seeing the deals. At least for the S22, Amazon Renewed prices are much better - even for the same seller.

S22 ultra for 340 quid for a flagship from 2 years ago is really good + it looks brand new (edited)

Can anyone who actually owns the S22 Ultra exynos let me know how shocking the battery life really is in practice? I recently bought an S23 Ultra on the giffgaff deal but have ordered this as "good" condition ended up being £344 odd which was practically half what I paid for the S23 Ultra. I'm going to hold off on returning the S23 Ultra for now just in case the battery life is really as poor as all the reddit threads make it out to be lol. For context I am pretty comfortably getting through 2 full days on a single charge with the S23 Ultra, but not sure it is worth 2x the price just to charge it half as much!
    captain_brown's avatar
It's shockingly... Fine. Mine gets through a full day of use no problem. From a day using it for music and browsing on my commute and lunch break to those days on the sofa doomscrolling and youtubing it's never got close to running out for me.

It's way better than the Pixel 6 I had previously if that helps at all.
