I have 2 of these on sheds. I filled them with aerosol lithium grease for extra protection and there is no sign of rust in 3 years

I've had some for 25 years plus exposed to all elements in the north of England and most I've ever done is maybe the odd spray of oil when once one got stiff.

As I used to have one on my company van and lost the key these are easily hacksawed through

Absolutely fine for a shed where they could just rip off the hasp/staple anyway.

Worth getting for outdoor use as the rust resistance is very good.

As others have said, for somewhere like a shed the wooden door or weak hinges can easily be ripped off anyway so an expensive lock is pointless (edited)

I've a couple of these on a shed - they seem solid enough and have only the smallest amount of tarnish on the back after 18 months or so.

The annoying thing I find about the style of these is that you need the key to lock them back up. This can be quite annoying - even more-so when you have two that aren't keyed-alike.
