Waste of a fiver , there is no need for a magnet to hold a brush when it stands perfectly fine in a pot , tin , or sits over the top . .

Well ok, but if you stand a brush in a pot of paint, the end will get flattened. If the pot is full then it may cover the handle (^ ^) , however if you use this device then the paint may dry out (^ ^).
If you rest it over the top, then dried paint drips may stick to the brush anywhere and the paint will drip down the can and the paint on the brush may dry out.

There is no answer to this age old problem (^ ^) (edited)
