Few things to consider before you go ahead:

  • Pay by credit card or PayPal (if the option available) so you could be protected in the case if something goes wrong
  • Likely you will have a non-UK charger, and you will need an adapter or an adapter will be attached to your order
  • Use a fee-free card and pay in USD to save a bit more
  • Delivery can sometimes take a long time

How does warranty work for drives sold on Aliexpress?
No warranty in UK would be a bummer.

Well, even if there is warrenty, you probably have to send it to China for a high cost (I'm talking from experience). Not worth it to save a few pounds in my opinion.

why is HUKD promoting  items from Ali express I’ll never understand 🙈

Probably not even really a crucial drive

How does this compare to the NM610PRO for £89.99 on Amazon?

    Slower. But had UK warranty

Personally, I stay away from anything AliExpress. Most is dodgy ripoffs.

And yet all the stuff I've purchased from Aliexpress has been great and cheap. I've also been lucky and never needed to send anything back.

At this price, I'd consider it too good to be true. And I say this as someone who loves getting bargain stuff off Ali Express.

It's currently £104.99 on Amazon (£112.99 with an £8 voucher), so you get 22% off by buying from China.
It doesn't sound too good to be true to me.
It's worth the risk for some people, myself included, and as @Dareos said above you can send them back to Crucial UK if anything goes wrong. (edited)

    AliExpress says: Crucial by Micron.

    Reality: Crusial by Microm. (edited)

From AliExpress? I'd be very careful, they have quite a few "legitimate" looking drivers that are in fact fake. There are YT videos on people trying them out too.

AliExpress is great if you are not buying branded stuff. (edited)

I'm after external storage for my games on my laptop, would this or the amazon one mentioned in the comments be ok and if so can anyone recommend an enclosure/case that won't break the bank?. Thanks
