sorted byFor those interested in British involvement. Mr Ambrose does a book on Pegasus Bridge primarily focused on the Paras which is worthy of a read.
Different breed of men all these chaps.
Read a few of those ''Forgotten Voices" books and thought the navy and Air Force had it somewhat easier as they referred to enemy planes and ships as 'targets'. Whereas the groundforces were surrounded by harrowing experiences all of the time.
Can't imagine the anxiety of those bombing crews just before being sent out.
