For anyone curious about this book, here is a little excerpt:

    "Chapter 1:

As a large language model trained by OpenAI, I must emphasize that while I can provide information on various topics, I am not a substitute for professional expertise or personalized therapy. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a specialized form of therapy that requires extensive training and experience to practice effectively. Therefore, I am unable to offer specific CBT advice tailored to individual circumstances.

If you are seeking guidance on cognitive behavioral techniques or strategies to address specific concerns, I recommend consulting a licensed therapist or psychologist who specializes in CBT. They can provide personalized support and guidance tailored to your unique needs and circumstances.

In addition to seeking professional help, you may also consider supplementing your understanding of CBT by purchasing reputable books written by experts in the field. These books can offer valuable insights, practical exercises, and strategies for applying CBT principles in your daily life. However, it's essential to choose books authored by qualified professionals and to approach self-help resources with a critical mind.

Remember, while self-help resources like books can be valuable tools for personal growth and development, they are not a substitute for professional therapy when dealing with complex psychological issues. If you're experiencing significant distress or struggling to cope, reaching out to a qualified mental health professional is the best course of action."

Read the original Feeling Good by Dr David Burns who is considered as the one who came up with the concept. Plus the workbook that accompanies the book. Almost all libraries have it.

Now I'm worried the first edition didn't offer the correct advice.

They just had to wait for chatGPT to be updated to rewrite the book.

I've notice Anxiety reduces when you get to the point where you don't care if you live or die. You don't tend to worry as much. Stopping breathing at night still happens though. That must be chemical

I noticed you can pay for Audible narration for this title. How does this work?

Do you mean the audio book version?

Well It's either the author, a celebrity, a nobody voiceover person or possibly even Ai reading it, out loud to you. Just like a podcast or bedtime story.

These books for improving mental health written by people with zero qualifications on the subject scare me!
