Thanks OP. Been on the lookout for a cordless Makita multi tool. Looks a decent price, although you can also get it for £68 from Howetools and get Topcashback (with an extra £2 bonus for today only). A small saving, granted

I ended up getting one of these: amazon.co.uk/Osc…SSH
Uses makita batteries and has a few advantages over the entry level makita osc tool: has toolless quick release for blades and brushless motor.
Probably worse quality than the genuine makita, and I believe is a bit noisier, but for my usage (diyer) its been great.

Was after this and a sabre saw, saw a 3 in 1 Parkside one in LIDL on offer with 25% off costing about £30 - Has sabre saw with 2 blades (metal and wood), multitool with sander attachment, sandpaper, scrapping attachments and drill attachment with various screwing & drilling bits - Not sure how good it is, but had an old 20V Parkside battery from a previous impact wrench and charger. I hope it lasts for a while for DIY around the house and a future loft conversion.

Can you buy packs of multi-tool Makita accessories for this? Bit clueless tbh but seems like the perfect tool I need to cut window sil notches out

Yes you can. There are loads of 3rd party accessories that will be cheaper than Makita genuine parts (can't comment on quality)

    Just got mine through today
Haven't received the attachments for it yet - but if weight is any guide to quality, this is an excellent tool

Isn't this approved by most bike thieves!

No that’ll be the 18v grinder you see in the Tea leaf videos of them cutting locks off in broad daylight (edited)

I’d recommend spending a bit more for the quick release version
