What music streaming service should I use ?

So I've been getting Spotify for free for the ages now with my phone and it's finally stopped.

Should I try a different service or just pay for Spotify?

I have so many likes songs on Spotify that starting a fresh service seems like a lot of hard work, I've got great playlists etc for me too.

I do feel like Spotify plays me the same songs way too much though, the DJ is great but I'm skipping stuff a lot on it lately. Lot of the playlists are just the sa,e songs constantly too, which is a shame when I have so much liked I don't know why it doesn't mix it up more.

So other services, I think apple tidal and Amazon all offer higher quality songs. But to be honest even with my pixel pro buds or Sonos beam 2 I only rarely noticed a big difference, still cool to have.

YouTube music seems interesting as it's a lowish price for getting YouTube ads removed too.

What's do you use ? Any deals out there at the moment ?

I've tried most of the larger music platforms and Tidal is the best, but I haven't used it since they closed the Argentina loophole. I think there's a Nigeria loophole currently available, but that's a bit more expensive. IMO YouTube premium is pretty decent. I tend to watch a lot of YouTube videos on my TV so it's always nice to not have the hassle of ads and it doubles up as a music streaming platform.

I have a Turkish subscription which costs around £1 a month or so, however I'm not sure how easy that is to get anymore as I think the Turkish Play Store loophole has been fixed. Can't give any advice in regards to how to transfer playlists though.

There seems to always be at least one loophole available out there, so it's best to search discussions for recent threads on the best way to get a decent price. (edited)

I've used Deezer for years, does all I want, has all the content I want and it always works.
I think I get free Amazon music with Prime but I'm happy with using Deezer, they used to offer a free trial and there's free ad supported as well.

I can't help you with which to choose. But I'm sure I have read on here there are ways of transferring your playlists to other providers

Yeah I used one before though and then it started to charge for transferring bigger playlists, not sure if it's the same now or if there is a free alternative

I am a sucker for Spotify. It has everything I need in one spot, music, audiobooks and podcasts.

But one issue is what you mentioned - the repetition of songs is insane. Have playlists that are in the thousands, and its the same few songs. Very bizarre!

I love the made for you playlists too, but they are just the same songs on them just named slightly different, so after a while they just get boring.

Thinking it would be good just to try something new out to see if it changes what I listen to.

But I miss the yearly playlists etc, when the DJ comes out with here some tunes you loved back I'm 2019 it's pretty cool to hear

Try YouTube Music? I subscribed through Argentina and I have that with YouTube Premium. So I get music and no ads.

Same here. Did have the tidal hack but my son wanted YouTube ad free so killed two birds with one stone. (edited)

I used to have Deezer like 15 years ago and loved it, but the price seems the same as Spotify now

Also a vote for YouTube Premium. I share a family subscription. I watch though that not having ads on mobile and offline downloading is worth it to me.
