Cheapest I've seen these and bought 2 to replace ones bought from Screwfix 10 years ago for £25!

Also available for 19.95 on the FFX site and they offer free delivery over £25

Note - these are the older 1.5Ah and don't have a battery indicator like the 2.0Ah but the cheapest I've seen these over the last couple of years is over £30

Really good size for impact drivers / drills / hedge trimmer / Vac etc to keep the tool light, will obviously not last that long but charge time is only 15 minutes (fast charger)

Worth it as a spare ? I have 2 x 5ah. Used in the trim router, impact driver, multisaw & lantern..maybe good for lantern (edited)

    Yeah I have 4 x 5's and 2 of these...

Great size if you have the subcompact driver for instance or want to use the sander at height.

Also useful to just have enough to leave on a tool like I have the radio and always keep a battery in it

Anyone know if these offer the same power as the larger batteries but with just reduced run time?

Kind of yes - all 18V but the cells in the 4 and 5Ah's are better and will give the most torque for the more hungry tools.

These are for lighter work or for less heavy use - i.e you could use on a saw for a quick job etc.

You also lose power as the capacity decreases so obviously these won't produce peak performance for as long as a larger one but that said, on tools like the subcompact driver (DDF083) or Impact drivers, I've used for hours and not noticed any drop in performance! (edited)

Anyone know why the 2.0ah are so expensive?

No - it's really annoying as they are really useful to have

Also Makita could now make small 3Ah or at least a 2.5.

Thanks all! Ordered a couple off eBay. Ideal for lighter weight drill drivers. Heat added

Good price. Got one for £18 from www.ukplanettools.co.uk but it was a special price when buying other stuff. As mentioned these are great for work where light weight helps. (edited)

Good price there too - do packs of 2 and 3.

Also offer one free currently on a £300 spend.

Useful. May bite. I keep a couple of these small batteries in a case with the tyre inflator. A couple more around may not be a bad idea.
    waz12345's avatar
You use the 180 or 181 tyre inflator? I'm thinking about which one, but have a van and been burnt by crap inflators not being powerful enough

I feel the title should state what Ah this is, as many won't know from the model number

All, for some reason HDUK have edited this from the eBay link back to the original - please buy from eBay as cheaper!

    Crazy...

Just a courtesy message to let you know that we've reinstated your deal/voucher, linked below, to the pre-edited details.
