Fill it with sand then add water.

I've got one but only used water. Im guessing the sand will actually make it heavy? I found it not heavy enough to flatten the lawn with just water alone and therefore it is still bumpy. I'll have to give this a go in a couple of days time when the weather dries up a tad and the lawn is still moist (edited)

To level a lawn, use a mixture of playsand and topsoil. Overseed, sit back and wait!

Anyone bought this and received it? Ordered mine 10 days ago and it's been with the courier for 9. Oypla customer service saying they have contacted the courier and waiting for a response.

The ants have won. I give up. I'll live with them in my lawn and just flatten the roofs to their hills so I don't rip the tuff off when mowing (edited)

friend of mine had one of these and ended up bouncing it on the high bits of the lawn, that way it actually made some impression!
    Pardon the pun.

what the difference between using this and a whacker plate? both would flatten and compact the soil, wouldn't they?

Yep or a steam roller would be even better. I comes down to price.
