Does this have the same burn in risk compared to LG OLEDs?

The rtings burn in test has been running for 3 months and so far the qd-oleds all have burn in and the WOLEDs do not. So not looking great. But the test is exaggerated and sped up test of static content.

I assume this is EPP / student? Has the cashback stopped then?

Yeah it's EEP, and the cashback ended yesterday.

Purchased this exact TV back in Feb, brand new, on clearance for £1199 incl. £200 cash back. Apparently uses the same panel as the Sony A95K - which is at least double the price. So far, all good. Really pleased with how it looks aesthetically, and the overall picture it produces. Would recommend at this price.

Is it a big deal not having Dolby Vision?

If you plan to use Disney+, a 4k Blu-ray player (with DV), possibly premium Netflix (I haven't got the 4k Netflix so can't confirm if uses DV)... Then I would want my TV to have it.

I have a Philips Oled and a Panasonic 820 4k... Both of which are platform agnostic.

Seen a few reviews where people have had issues with this set, a few people saying about having to constantly reseat HDMI cables.
Looks a great set though and great price

My sky needs the hdmi pulled out and back in every so often. Bit annoying but it’s not a lot. All other hdmis are fine.

Is this a student or BLC offer or something as showing as £1999 direct on the site?

Also does anyone know what this is like for football? Currently have a Samsung plasma PS64e8000 and am concerned about oled’s motion not being as smooth.

Oh and also Virgin credit card offering 7% cash back on Samsung so could potentially get this for £1301

Same offer on both BLC and Student discount

Got the 55 inch version, very pleased with it. Picture is better than my LG C2 but LG has DV.
Also the sammy can be overclocked to 144 hz which is good for gaming.
Mine not bent at all, maybe some people a bit clumsy.
    TechFiend's avatar
My understanding is that it's a quality control issue re bent panel, otherwise there would be lots of videos about bent panels from all manufacturers.

    This or G2?
    TechFiend's avatar
    How much is the G2?

Does this one come with Cashback and free soundbar?

Priced about right tbh. Terrible build quality and QC issues so the discount compensates the risk. No DTS is a bit of a shame but DTS shot themselves in the foot and are simply too late to the game. 4k blu rays are just forgoing it altogether mostly

Looking at these panels ‘side on’ in currys is laughable. They’re as straight as the letter S

    This or the LG C2?
    David_Kemp's avatar
    LG C2 all day

There’s a better deal @ box.co.uk and no need to trade in. Just use the discount code ‘SAMSUNG10’ at the checkout.
