    I'm going next month, £70 flights but that's from London, £80 a night for decent hotel. Looked at deals but it's much cheaper to organise myself.
    Anyone been to the strudel thingy? It's on my list (edited)

    Yes, went to the strudel thingy. It was part of the Vienna card we got. Most enjoyable and in English and German. The art galleries and museums are superb.

    Careful with the trains here. OP in their example of Trainline has the departure and arrival stations the wrong way around, with trains which arrive nearly 2 hours after takeoff. The only option I see for getting to the airport is the 4:30 - 5:11 service, which gets you to the station just 49 minutes before departure time.

    I wouldn't.

    There is a regular shuttle into the centre from the airport , been twice for week each time loads to see,fantastic place( visited in summer so had nice weather though)
