Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5

The Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 is a high performance car tyre, developed to deliver a smooth, exacting performance with superior braking in wet conditions.

Goodyear have constructed the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 with a highly refined silica compound - this enhances the grip of the tyre, resulting in short braking distance on both wet and dry roads. The tyre's asymmetric tread pattern, coupled with the stiff carcass results in responsive, sporty handling - particularly on dry road surfaces.

Grippy tyres have the lowest fuel ratings. Not sure I put much faith in them being accurate. I've had plenty of VWs from new arrive on Bridgestone tyres rated C for fuel. I've swapped them out for Michelins rated E and got better mpg from the Michelins.

If you're in your car, alone or with household members only, you're of no concern to the Police. It's what you do at the destination that matters. If you need new tyres because hour old ones won't last much longer, they should have no issue with that. You need your car either to commute as a key worker or get some essential shopping in.

Just what I need. Such a shame 225/45R18 are hugely more expensive.

Great deal. I fitted these last year as was very impressed. Felt like a new car.

Remember fitting and balancing is usually £10 per corner so when you tot it up it doesnt seem that great a deal. The eagle F1s are supposed to be very grippy tyres but I'm looking for something that will last so I'm thinking Michelin or Bridgestone.
