    These are nasty cheap, look like my Silver line set.
    Blades are super flimsy, not particularly sharp and don't sit firmly in the handle.

    Agreed. And how many scalpel types do you actually need? I bought an old school Swann Morton surgical scalpel and a pack of blade. Worked out a bit more than this, but blades intended for surgical use are very sharp and long lasting when used for cutting cork and cardboard.
