I think people get too hung up on storage size. If you’re just consuming content it really doesn’t matter if it’s 64GB.

If you’re a content creator it’s potentially a different story, but even then you can easily plug an external storage device into it.

I recently bought the m1 version via the very hukd on recently with the 20% off as a new very credit customer. Worked out 410 in total. Cracking iPad in terms of speed of opening things up and slick design. Plus they offered by now pay in 9 or 12 months if needed. Not sure if the offer is still on though. (edited)

Can get a pristine one from MusicMagpie for £410 with their current 10% off

Better off paying the extra £29 via Apple, you get a brand new battery and shell.

Bought an Ipad mini from apple refurb and it appeared to be brand new so I have no hesitation in buying anything that is apple refurb. have some heat.

This is good but i think i will wait. I would bite if the M1 came down to £500.

A fair price but will 64gb really be enough storage?

    Edit* - don't forget 5% Topcashback. (edited)

64gb really isn't enough and shouldn't even be an option anymore. It should start at 256GB onwards.

actually don't agree. 64Gb fine for my uses and occasional travel..though i do have my eye on the 12.9 pro, more for the screen size than the storage though

How much GB does the os take up?

I haven’t got mine handy but from memory it’s around 12gb

    +1.
Depends on the user. My 64gb is just about half full and that’s the most I’ve had on it.
Yes I admit that £1/per gb the higher storage models are probably better but if 64gb is more than sufficient for my needs (and others’) then why should I pay more? (edited)

If you consider buying Apple products as a long term investment, 64GB just ain't it.... 128GB is todays minimum....

But that's really not true though is it? iOS takes up about 3.5gb and you need about 5gb to download and install a new update - so that's 8.5gb you need to keep free.

Considering this is a WiFi only model, storage size will matter if you wish to take any of the content you want to consume with you.

It's generally a good price, but I bought this just after it was released in 2020 on a super limited Amazon special through HUKD for about £469 at the time!
The device is used daily and all the time without issue. 64gb version seems to be ok, but then its not loaded with apps and is used for web browsing and video calls. Fast, good bettery life and decent screen/cameras too.
For me, this deal is warmish - Apple refurb are excellent (i've used them for an older ipad AIR and an iphone 12 PRO), but I think the price isn't amazing. New ipads out in September, so I'm waiting for the Gen 5 PRO to come up on the refurb store.

I think they shouldn’t even advertise them as 64GB, because that’s not what you’re getting of free space in the first place.
Surprised that all phone/tablet manufacturers are still getting away with it(mad)

They have a Pro 2018 Refurb for £479 and a Pro 2020 Refurb for £549. Both are 128GB I believe and outclass these on specs. Aren’t they the better deals? (I could be wrong (edited)

I have an 8 year old iPad Air 2 and it's still fantastic inc battery life. What isn't though is the 16 GB of memory. It was fine at the time but with increases in OS and app size + system data I have to offload most apps. The memory pricing is a rip off but over it's life span you will be glad you got more.

bought a pro for the kids. hate IPS screens. its quite smooth with the pro motion stuff though

iPad Pro 11‑in. (2nd generation) vs iPad Pro 11‑in. (1st generation) vs iPad Air (4th generation) - Apple (UK)

Just looking at this comparison here - I was wrong in my earlier comment and the 1st Gen is actually £479 not £489. For only £40 more that's gotta be a worthy upgrade, with Promotion and a couple of other better things on the camera side. I think A12X and A12Z are pretty comparable to the A14?

And the 2nd Gen is more expensive at £549, but has a couple of other improvements, and 128GB storage rather than 64GB which might be better in the long term? (edited)

64gb is still more than most people realise / need. You can easily get a handful of films in addition to your apps etc.
