The fact is that almost every year I pick up fresh turkeys after Xmas , some as low as £5 ,from varying supermarkets and Chuck them in the freezer .
So they have traditionally over produced year on year for many years . Be interesting to see if there is a shortage .
More worried about new covid / 20ft of snow / 1000 mph winds… after watching the BBC news for 10 minutes.

I thought the doom and gloom MSM reported a few weeks ago a huge shortage of turkeys .. low and behold they are flogging them for £10 .

Retailers also like to spread the shortage stories. Get's people out panic buying early and in the end spending even more money than they otherwise would have.

Shortage of fresh turkeys. These would have been frozen long long ago.

Loads of stories about shortages just to drum up extra business. Haven't noticed shortages of anything here.

Depending on your point of view, Bernard Matthews is either responsible for the biggest ornithological genocide of recent times or he’s the greatest farmyard to table strategist of the last one hundred years.

food retailers would avoid doing that, its not like Graphics cards where 1 company makes them all. With food retail they need to keep stock levels manageable and also keep people in store. They wouldn't risk the potential impact of messing with stock like that just sell something that is going to sell anyway.
due to what people want to believe there will be lots of reasons banded about, but one solid pattern we have seen over the last few years is the press with a sensationalism + agenda combo.
