About this deal

Saw them at this price in chorley store today, didn’t buy one as I don’t eat lamb but the heaviest weight was 2.89KG (there were plenty)

Often this price. It's very nice very nice when slow cooked with chickpeas, tinned tomatoes, and ras el hanout.

Wierd how this says suitable for halals and non halals. Normally it just says 'halal'. Good price.

The last time I saw this deal around Christmas I found the freezer the lamb was in and a middle eastern gentlman had eight or nine in a trolley, when I looked in the freezer as he was walking away there were only two left, both at the minimum end of the weight limit. I took the top one from his trolley which turned out to be 2.5kg when I got home, but there was a rather heated argument in the store where he alleged the goods were his once he picked them up. I'm normally one for avoiding conflict wherever possible but on this occasion I decided it wasn't fair

Always this price always in stock near me I've looked at it a couple of times and it seemed a good bit fatty but I suppose it's the look of the draw

Normal price but you do sacrifice for the cheapness. It's a massive peice and unless you cut it (with difficulty) it can burn upto 4 hours of gas just to cook it!

Defrost it first. Then cut it up if needed - and seal the roasting tin by covering tightly with baking paper or tin foil - it will then cook in one hour on high heat (1.5 hrs on medium heat)

Just bought one and it’s 2.99 KG . There were a couple of smaller ones there but most were around 2.85 KG so pretty good.

The NZ/UK ones on sale everywhere at the moment are better quality in my experience. I'm not a fussy eater and enjoyed the farmfoods australian ones but rest of family were not so keen - said too fatty and gristly
