Ok, its not a malt, but its a very highly regarded blend amongst the whisky aficionados! If you like your islay style malts (peated), then this would be a great blend for you!

Seriously a bargain! quite hard to find in general stores, and usually in the 15-20 mark.

This one was spotted in Yate, Bristol Tesco's. They also have several other bottles of Malts, which are not normally in most Tesco's I go to in the area! I wish they would be consistent, it would save me petrol! lol

    Definitely not the best blended whiskey, as it's a whisky not a whiskEy (It's Scottish - not Irish), and it's extremely difficult to say it's the best, though I will cede it is most probably one of the best.
    You are correct in saying it's a blend of Islay single malts, but it contains more besides - which is why it is a 'blend' and not a 'blended malt'.
    I cannot agree either that it is 'infinitely' superior - mainly because the others might at some time improve, but again I shall agree with you in that I also consider it to be of a far higher quality than most.
    In short; it is a very, very good blend, but it's not a blended malt, nor is it a single malt - and it's not a single single malt, nor could it ever be a single single single malt.
    Whisky is indeed a fairly sophisticated business, but for the unsophisticated among us - this is a very good deal. Heat added

    Had loads in Broadstair's Tesco extra, not sure what its like but bearing … Had loads in Broadstair's Tesco extra, not sure what its like but bearing in mind shop own brands are £12+ for a 70cl bottle this is a good deal, also comes in a nice presentation box, ideal New Years present maybe, obviously this will taste like monkey sick to a true die hard whiskey drinker but if no likely not lighty! Have some heat OP.



    I think you'll find most whisky drinkers will approve of this, especially if they like Islay malts.

    This is excellent value at it's normal price, and far superior to the high volume blends on the shelves.

    Might try some, I got some Talisker (obviously not a blended whisky) when it was on offer, but it was actually quite horrible.

    Lidl often has Langs supreme 5yr blended on special around the £10 mark. It's really quite good. Gold medal at the IWSC.

    Just back from Tescos at Yate. Theres still about a dozen bottles on the shelf. Minus one bottle that's now sat in my drinks cabinet. I'd have a wee dram tonight, but have to work :-(

    Won it's sub-category at the Whisy Awards in 2010 - blended (no age). Seems to be around £16 generally so hot from me!

    Damn good whisky, discovered it at a Game Fair the other year and have been keeping it as an easy dram ever since. Pick up a couple of bottles

    I am no expert but my dad likes the Islay malts and so I bought 2 bottles for myself at that price and gave him a double. He likes it very much and so I have managed to get him a bottle too. Price looks vaild til 3/1/12 according to their website, but getting hold of it is gonna be the main problem I reckon.
