Paddy whiskey is a brand of 40% ABV blended Irish whiskey produced in cork, Ireland, by the company Irish distillers. It is Ireland's third best selling whiskey. The nose is fresh and lively, aromatic a complex interplay of nutty maltiness, woodland fragrances and spice with hints of honey and vanilla. The taste is mild, soft, a distinctive mellow maltiness, a touch of sweet oil, spiciness and again those background notes of honey, vanilla, toasted wood. The finish has a sweetness gently fading, mellow maltiness and mild woody notes lingering pleasingly.

A triple distilled blended Irish Whiskey produced in Cork and made, unusually, with all three styles of Irish whiskey: single pot still, single malt and grain. First produced in 1779, it wasn't until 1913 that it changed it's name to Paddy after legendary salesman Paddy Flaherty. Before that it had the rather catchy name of "Cork Distilling Company Map of Ireland Old Irish Whiskey". Rolls right off the tongue that one.

Not the greatest whisky but a very good price & it does make a great whiskey mac when mixed with ginger beer
