Blink Outdoor makes home monitoring simple
Blink Outdoor offers two-year battery life and is built to withstand the elements so you can protect your home, indoors or outdoors, day and night.

Powerful two-year battery life
With Blink’s proprietary chip technology, Blink Outdoor runs on two AA lithium batteries that last up to two years so you can see what’s happening in and around your home without the stress of frequent battery replacement.

  • Blink Outdoor is a wire-free battery-powered HD security camera that helps you monitor your home day or night with infrared night vision.
  • With long-lasting battery life, Blink Outdoor runs for up to two years on two AA lithium batteries (included).
  • Blink Outdoor is built to withstand the elements to help you protect your home indoors or out, come rain or shine.
  • Get motion detection alerts on your phone with the option to customise motion zones in the Blink Home Monitor app so you’re only alerted when you need to be.
  • See, hear and speak to visitors with Live View in real time and two-way audio features on your Blink Home Monitor app (live view is not continuous).
  • Designed so you can set it up yourself in minutes. No wiring or professional installation required.
  • Works with Alexa: use your voice to monitor your home through supported Alexa-enabled devices.
  • Choose to save and share clips in the cloud with a free 30-day trial of the Blink Subscription Plan or locally with the Sync Module 2 and USB drive (sold separately).

Wouldn't join Blink since they started charging for subscription (better systems out there, no subs fee is what sold it to me originally) - but for anyone like me who had their system back in XT2 or earlier days with free subscription, it stays free even with new cameras - so would recommend this for anyone looking to upgrade cameras or add on to older cameras - great deals on Blink right now

You can still use the it without a subscription - just pop in a USB memory stick. You just don't see thumbnails, can't use it outside of your network (but you could use a VPN) and it's a little bit slower to view the videos. (edited)

My £25 tapo outdoor wifi is smiling right now and is recording on a £8 128gb micro sd he just needs 5 volts from a power bank with solar panel.

My gaff is slowly being taken over with Tapo stuff, they all work really well, and all controlled by whichever smart assistant I'm shouting at that week

If anyone is interested you can add this to make a full system:

Deal of the day for Prime Members: Blink Video Doorbell + Sync Module 2 | Two-way audio, HD video, motion and chime app alerts, easy setup, Alexa enabled, Blink Subscription Plan Free Trial — Wired or Wireless (Black) amzn.eu/d/9…5AY

This gives you the doorbell and sync module for local recording and you can add an echo pop as a doorbell chimefor £5 extra. £55 all in seems pretty decent.

If adding on you wouldn't need the doorbell system as this camera system already has the sync module - you could get doorbell camera-only for only £34.99 (£39.99 with Echo Pop)

Can these be added to an existing XT2 system and have access to all cameras without paying for a plan, just like the older cameras on the system?

Good deal. I chose 3 for £89, when I added them to the basketball went down again to £60 something which is a steal.
