Anyone have good recommendations on this? Reading up on it seems to have an issue with overheating?
    MrMaxPackage's avatar
It’s refurbished by the manufacture, it may be possible to assume that the issue has now been resolved for the one you receive

Is £239 the usual price new ?

Yes. I couldn't put that In though. Had the solo previous as a refurb from Bose and it's more or less new. Plus you get the warranty

Does what it says on the tin....it's very practical as an upgrade to a TV speaker... But if you think it's going to turn your telly into a home cinema, you'll likely be disappointed.

We have ours in the bedroom and it works well for us. It greatly improves stock sound on the telly, without needing to litter the bedroom with speakers/subs. If you turn it up, the sound stage is pretty impressive, bass is ok...for a small box, it does a reasonable job.

It enhances speech quite well, so while we were trying to watch shows in bed without waking the kids, we didn't need to have master volume very high.

It's simple to use, with other tech - we just turn the volume up and down using fire stick remote...

And it's pretty inoffensive to the eye, so decent for use in different settings.

I've had it for a couple of years and don't regret my purchase.

Used one of these for a few years. Nothing special but miles better than the stock speaker and we have no room for a sub.

Kind of had my mind set on a Sonos beam gen 2. What would this be like in comparison?
    Ouzoherb's avatar
With the sonos you really need the sub to get decent explosions and then rears so before you know it 1500 has been spent. It's a great system though. If you aren't worried about massive bass the the beam 2 is decent but a Samsung s61a or the newer b is very similar but with minimal bass at significantly cheaper money particularly on eBay new opened ones.

LTT didn't rate this very highly unfortunately.

Who's LTT? I'm sure What HiFI will give this a five star however. They'd give a speak and spell five stars for enough of a back hand.

It's refurbished, so can't be that good if it broke in the first place.

Guys keep refreshing the page. Last night it was out of stock but suddenly it was in stock. I added it to the cart but before checkout it went out of stock again. But Bose allowed me to check out and I got the order confirmation email. So guys don't panic when you see out of stock when you are in the check out process

I'd buy this if I needed another soundbar, thanks

I paid £199.99 from Amazon in February for a new one.
Highly recommended. Good quality sound and nice and compact

i have one of these and use it in the garden via bluetooth,,,rock your neighbors and yes sound qulaity is brilliant, only problem is you have you to plug it in to power it ie no internal battery, bo biggie just a pain extension cable etc, normally is use my jbl xtreme 2 and that is battery powered, good for tv's etc.
