I've not long since come back from NYC and all I'll say is do not stay anywhere near times square. Me my wife and kids went (8+14) and not one of us enjoyed New York. Constant smell of weed, full of crazy people who look like they're either gonna stab you or give you some sort of viral disease. Homeless everywhere. Scammers everywhere. Horrible place.

That's the exact same impression I got when I went two years ago. Everyone and everything is a scam. Pen in museum is like $30, tips required everywhere. The homeless people are a different breed. They look like they would stab you if you look at them the wrong way. We got out of JFK and onto the train and within 5min, some guy was dancing aggressively demanding money.

Are there any central Manhattan Hiltons left WITHOUT resort fees?
