I spoke to them about it and they stated that British regular diesel is the worst in Europe so they offer premium as a standard only for that reason. I like this approach.

There are no petrol/diesel deals anywhere, there are only the cheapest. £1.36 a litre is still, at the very least, 50p too much.

The British public have been nicely conditioned to think this is a good price. Disgraceful.

My mate gets me a card on his membership for £16.80 a year, 3 fill ups a year pays for it.

Can anyone do that? My in-laws have a card each so have to go with them as a +1

Diesel is cheaper than petrol at 2 out of 3 local fuel stations.

I paid £1.35 for Diesel and Petrol is £1.39 at the local Esso station.

The most expensive local fuel station, is Asda, which, was historically the cheapest.

I fill up my diesel BMW at Costco, I would never normally buy premium fuel but it is the only option at Costco.

For what it's worth a full tank from Costco always 'seems' to get me more miles than when I fill up with standard elsewhere. I haven't got an proof but it certainly feels like it lasts longer.

If you only do it occasionally, you'll notice an increase in MPG because the additives added to the premium fuel will do their job - filling up every time is not worth the extra expense (except in the case of this deal, seeing as it is the only option and cheap)

There is also a psychological effect of getting a premium product/ service, so you expect better and convince yourself that is what you see. Numerous studies show that filling with premium every time makes no difference.

Diesel was £139.9 at Costco Trafford today. At least 10p a litre cheaper than anywhere else nearby.
