theres different 'grading' from what I remember when I bought mine. There is definitely more chance of the dart boucing out than a regular board but didnt have a significant issue with it. Main issue was the noise! (edited)

Are the darts in this, still "real darts"? - or are they made of a lighter material or have less of a "point" on them? (just wondering if the back wall [or someone behind the board] can be damaged with these darts if the kids miss the board entirely)

they are much (much) lighter than real darts and have a plastic tip. I have never had an issue with damage to walls from darts missing the board, but perhaps I am just not throwing them hard enough

Tempted as a fun alternative to my real dartboard but seems too good/cheap to be true. What’s the catch?

I have images of people balancing chairs on table to get the board to an acceptable, if not accurate, height.

Probably a good starter for younger kids, this. Keep it away from plasterboard though, the soft tips will still make decorative alterations to a room.

Can you mount it on the wall ?

Yes wall mount. You will also need a nearby 240v socket for the adaptor
