About this deal

Recycle at Boots is moving from a WebApp to a Mobile App. The new app will make banking and depositing your hard-to-recycle items even easier, allowing quicker access through the app icon on your phone, improving performance if you happen to be offline, provide better accessibility and error reporting.

If you download and make your first app deposit before 30th April 2024, you can earn an additional 50pts, meaning when you deposit 5 items and spend £10 you could earn 550 points.

    Do any of their ‘scan to recycle’ box QR codes ever scan properly? I’ve been to at least 5 so far, none of which work. Does anybody have any tips??

    Yes, they’ve updated the QR codes and each box should have a new laminated one now attached to it…I’ve been doing this for years now and spend my points on meal deals/drinks when out and about.

    I have had no issues at all with the original recycle app, so fingers crossed the new one won't give issues. As you say the main boots app is absolute rubbish.

    yep, there's 8 poor reviews now, I tried using it last night and it wouldn't reveal the voucher I had.

    There is a huge long list of what is accepted but it tends to be small bottles, tubs, tubes of make up and toiletries not normally suitable for recycling in household collections.

    Seems good so far - been using a week for beauty and blister pack scheme. just need to go deposit my items. 

    for parents who use baby food pouches it’s awesome! Can recycle then buy more! 

    do check local stores are doing this!!

    Once you deposit the 5 items do you need to spend £10 then and there or can you wait a few days/weeks before having to spend the £10?

    Looks like they have changed it to 2 days. I deposited last night at around 7pm (26th) and it says the voucher is valid until midnight on the 28th.

    It was always 2 days, however now the coupon has a time limit once activated (30 minutes I think) so be sure to get your items before activating.

    Yes, if the app is working correctly. The voucher is instant and will be in the 'rewards' section of the app.
