Critics Consensus
Dune occasionally struggles with its unwieldy source material, but those issues are largely overshadowed by the scope and ambition of this visually thrilling adaptation. Read critic reviews

Audience Says
Denis Villeneuve's Dune looks and sounds amazing -- and once the (admittedly slow-building) story gets you hooked, you'll be on the edge of your seat for the sequel. Read audience reviews

Really wanted to enjoy this film and I can appreciate a lot of aspects of it (acting, cinematography etc.) but I just felt so bored throughout lol. Maybe it was due to me being tired at the time but yeh, I had high expectations but was whelmed.

It has really slow pacing which makes it feel like a slow burner, especially for this type of big budget hollywood sci-fi.

Especially when the mum and the kid end up in the desert. You really have to stay focused and pay attention to the progression of the story.

Give it another go when you're well rested. When you can appreciate its detail and story, it's effing amazing. (edited)

Fantastic film and can't wait for the next in series. Mind you I loved the old one with Sting in too. Can still picture the hideous Baron Harkonan floating around

Been trying to find this out for ages...

Does anyone know if the Bitrate is higher when brought compared to when streamed later on for free? Always hoped that buying the UHD version would grant you access to then stream it in a higher bitrate comapred to if you wanted for it to be free on streaming.

    Hoping someone knows the answer?

How do you mean ‘stream it later for free’? I don’t think Apple TV+ has mainstream movie releases like this, it’s all original Apple content. Unlike Prime Video where films come and go all the time.

When you buy a 4k film off amazon, can you download it? Or do you have to stream? Thanks

does anyone else have a prime membership from another country which messes with their pruchased content? basically it seems that while I have the foreign prime video active all apps only show purchases made in that country and I cannot access my uk content, I don't thinnk there is a work around

It's not a Marvel action film, it's a very faithful rendition of a classic sci fi book.
And I for one am extremely pleased about that.
