    This is a good price for a great little quality tool, just be aware that this is a keyring sized multi tool rather than full sized.

    I’ve had one of these for a year and I keep it in the small pocket of my jeans. Really useful and I’m lost if I forget it. The “retail packaging” tool is great for opening boxes and packages. I’ve had no problems with it not being robust enough, but you have to remember that it’s a tiny tool and not meant for anything heavy-duty.

    I had the green version of this. I carried it on my keyring, but after a few years the rivets failed and it fell apart. So I contacted Gerber and asked them for a replacement under the lifetime warranty. They asked for a photo of the broken tool and within a few days a brand new one arrived. I was very impressed with the service, but to be honest not hugely impressed by the durability of the tool. Now I keep the replacement in a drawer and just use it to open parcels.

    Sad to hear that - I have a few Leatherman Micra and they are much the same size but nigh on indestructible. Not as many tools as this. But I probably use one of them most days.

    Would people rate this over the Gerber Vise?

    I understand that it is tiny but that's what I'm after as my standard multi tools always ends up staying in a toolbox.

    Only real difference is the scissors on the dime and saw blade on the vise. Ive got the vice on my keys i mainly use the little saw blade the pliers alot

    These things aren't much more than toys.

    For a real tool, either get a standard pocket knife at about the same price as this, or spend more money and get a Leatherman for the same kind of tool (edited)

    not sure why you are getting laughs.... the Leatherman PS4 squirt is equivalent to this but its much stronger

    - I have both, my first dime snapped at the join on the pliers. my squirt has proven to be much more robust. Gerber did replace the dime foc.

    - both Dimes i had were "squint". They come opened in a plastic display pack and when laid flat on a surface they are visibly uneven and wobble.... i think its down to being packed in the open position.

    The only area where the dime beats the squirt is the blade... the dime blade is more substantial and has a slight fluting to it that makes cutting very easy.

    decent price. Ive got a non black version and Ive so far managed to break it 3 times but gerber have sent me out a new one each time with no issue. great customer service but would probably be better if it didnt break so easily

    Worth noting the overall length of this is just over 4" when fully open, thats from the tip of the pliers to the tip of the bottle opener, so very small and only really classed as a keyring tool.

    I have one of these which I keep in my saddlepack whilst cycling. It is very useful for various tasks and saved me when one of my tyres developed a split in the sidewall. Using the Gerber I was able to cut up a punctured inner tube to act as a patch to stop the new tube being forced through the hole in the tyre - saved me a long walk home. Might get another via this deal for my laptop bag.

    Bought one in 2022 from amazon for £17.95.
    Nice handy little tool for on my keyring, unfortunately didn't stay black for very long, also the plyers are slightly missaligned
