Fast gravel, rough gravel, pavement or dirt. However you choose to roll, this bike does it all. A new composite frameset and adjustable wheelbase make it more capable than ever.

Fast and light
New Advanced composite frame and fork save more than 160 grams compared to previous model. Updated geometry includes a lower bottom bracket, longer reach and steeper headtube angle for improved acceleration and climbing.

Tuned compliance
New frame features thinner, dropped seatstays to absorb road shocks and vibrations. D-Fuse handlebar and seatpost work as a system to add compliance without sacrificing stiffness while cornering, sprinting or climbing.

Adaptable to the terrain
A flip chip on the rear dropout adjusts the wheelbase short for quicker handling, or long for improved stability at speed. The long setting allows for larger diameter tires up to 53mm. You can also choose the included D-Fuse seatpost for maximum compliance, or switch to a 30.9mm round or dropper post.

With a lightweight Advanced-grade composite frame that’s engineered for compliance, Revolt Advanced lets you push your limits on variable terrain.

A composite fork eats up bumps, and the D-Fuse seatpost and handlebar absorb shocks and vibrations. A flip chip on the rear dropout adjusts wheelbase and tire clearance, and you can choose the included D-Fuse seatpost for maximum compliance or a 30.9mm round or dropper post.

Details including a smart mount system for racks and accessories give you a head start on any gravel riding mission.

What is a Gravel Bike?

Gravel bikes, sometimes called adventure bikes, sit somewhere on a sliding scale from what is essentially a drop-bar mountain bike, to something that looks like a traditional road or cyclocross bike.

Comfort based geometry – Most gravel and adventure bikes prioritise rider comfort over outright speed.

Long wheelbase - Continuing the frame design thread, gravel and adventure bikes tend to have a long wheelbase. Increasing this distance helps spread rider weight, increasing stability.

Low bottom bracket – A low bottom bracket (BB) another common gravel bike feature designed to increase the stability of a gravel bike, helping the bike feel more planted.

Generous tyre clearance – Large tyre clearance is yet another concession gravel bike designers pay to ride comfort and stability. Most models come shod with 32mm tyres but with room for much, much wider rubber.

Disc brakes – Drawn by disc brakes' increased stopping power, easier modulation and reduced maintenance it’s no surprise to see bike brands use them on gravel bikes.

As with most bike types, gravel models tend to be unisex. By switching out contact points, or simply adjusting them, it's fairly easy to cater for riders of different shapes. That said, some brands do offer specific women's gravel bikes.

Apparently bike sales are at their lowest for 20 years. Gonna be some absolute bargains on bikes in 2023!

Yes, I worry I pulled trigger on that purchase too early.
By autumn they might be selling carbon bikes at 1/2 price.

Dont forget your extra heavy D lock or this will be doin 1 & the extra heavy lock will bring U back up to speed with the weight price rate ratio for paying for a lighter weight more expensive bike!

For this price, you can buy 2 persons to carry you anywhere you want.
    Crossbow's avatar
Assuming both are 23+, at minimum wage of £10.42/hr you'll only get 93.52 hours of carrying out of both
Get couple of under 18s, & the carrying hours for the same money will almost double! (edited)

I would have gone for Planet X Titanium eTap last week. But there was no Halfords C2W option.

Well, in the end went with this deal 25% off + cycle2work will work out reasonably cheap. My first CF Road bike. (edited)

I'm surprised they let you use cycle to work on a reduced bike. Normal practice is only on full price bikes

Watch out for cracking seat tubes on 2022 Carbon Revolt frames. Well documented on Facebook. Giant have not been as forthcoming about it all unfortunately.
    Merls's avatar
Most of the cracks were just paint and Giant are have excellent warranty.

Great price for a great bike, although I'm biased as I have one!

One tip I would advise for anyone buying would be to switch out the rubbish FSA crankset for Shimano GRX 810 then you're good to go (will also need a Shimano bottom bracket as well due to the different crank spindle diameter - the FSA is 19mm whereas Shimano uses a 24mm standard)

Any opinions on if there's a clear winner between tredz or Paul's cycles , regarding sales and after sales?
    trickytree1984's avatar
Only one experience of tredz. Rear drop out not properly aligned led to cross thread of thru axle. They sent me a new axle no arguments and paid for LBS to fit it

I have a brand new one of these due to arrive on the 11th the size is L. Does anyone want it for £1800 before I put it on eBay? Collection from North Norfolk
