50178186_1.jpgI have this, it's a nail. Jams all the time and is hard to undo. Not worth £13 scrap (edited)

Just be aware of the very poor durability & locking up issues that happens with a few uses or within a few months amazon.co.uk/gp/…r=1
An example: "In 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗳 𝗮 𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗿𝘆 [50 years] I have never seen such a poor quality lock. It is the first to ever fail in all that time. I have used it four times and it has never been outside of my house so never been wet or dirty yet it has jammed so I cannot remove it. Neither key works."
If you do go for it, treat it with kids gloves & oil it frequently. If left outside in the rain, I'd also cover it with a strong plastic bag. (edited)

There's definitely alot of complaints, what use if the lock can't be used in all weather especially with all the rain we get.

Aside, what happened to our consumer sales of goods act, surely the retailer i.e. Amazon so honour 12 months warranty and not the supplier? I see alot of people can't get Amazon to replace/refund after 1 month.

I've had and used one of these locks regulary since November 2021. I have oiled the lock regulary and its still going fine. I do use this with another different u lock and a bicycle chain. I don't expect the lock to prevent but maybe / hopefully deter theives from taking my bike and choose something thats less hastle to get unlocked.

Similarly - I've had this for a couple of years and have had no issue.
Not oiled mine once, but it is under cover, so doesn't get rained on. Though, I think I might oil it, now that I've said that.

Absolute junk. As others have said, they jam very quickly even if well looked after and never used outside. Even if they were giving them away free I wouldn't recommend, except perhaps as a practical joke.

As an engineer this item is very poor build quality.

The internals will corrode very quickly hence the need for constant lubrication.

Also the locking mechanism does not resist twisting during theft!

I’ve got this lock, jammed up within a month. I spent some time working in some chain lube into the keyhole and mechanism it’s been working great ever since. Had a similar issue with a Oxford lock before. This one is has been outside for 8 months now

I guess the only reason it's sold secure gold is because even having the key won't open it.

Mate has this. If you keep it lubed up with GT85 every few months it's spot on

    🔥 Decent price.

Locks do jam, I put TF2 lubricant in mine every time they start if seize up and they're like new after.
