Never touch O2 again. They ruined my credit rating for nearly a year with a. Refresh deal that I cancelled correctly. Only 7 months later did I realise the idiot on the phone didn't do his job. Ended up getting a credit correction and apology from O2. Proceed with caution

    I wouldn't touch O2 with a 10ft barge pole.

Their reviews on trust pilot are atrocious as well 1/5 stars.

Will this phone to locked to O2? Or can I essentially choose cheapest plan (1gb) pay upfront then swap in a cheaper SIM deal? Thanks

Phone doesnt come lock to network since Dec 2021

This is a hot price, but O2 failed to cancel my refresh deal correctly and kept trying to bill me. Got it sorted eventually - and when I complained they paid me compensation because they Fd up - but these deals can suck up a lot of time

Can't you just use a PAC code

I did the 7 pro deal from here 2 weeks ago, so for feedback of a recent, relevant O2 experience:

    1) Phone arrived unmarked, literally as new. Not even a single tiny hairline scratch anywhere. 100% recommend
    2) O2 customer 'service' were an absolute useless nightmare. 100% avoid
    3) Think I got lucky with the cust rep when I phoned up to cancel the £21 SIM contract, he knew his stuff and did it in 'only' 20 minutes
    4) I got what I wanted, at the exact price I wanted, it just cost me ~2hours admin time

In summary: am waiting for the next Pixel Pro deal (7 or around this price level and will buy for gf - and would buy from O2 again.

Seems a very good price, or do I wait for an 8a
    al355's avatar
Get this, 8a will be £400 on launch and not much different

I have ordered from O2 refresh before. Phone condition have been okay, except once where there was a scratch which was replaced by them. However claiming it to be like new is too much.

For starters, they do not provide its original box!. And you need to be lucky to receive a like new phone itself..................most of them I have received although in good condition, could not be claimed to be 'like new'!

It wont be like new and cs is a night mare...

Surprised that these o2 deals get so much hate. The iPhones I bought from them recently were absolutely flawless and cost a fraction of other nearly new phones available elsewhere. (edited)

They state like new can be a traded in phone (unlimited age) with up to 5 scratches or chips.
    Shocking..
I bet the person trading in wasn't paid for like new in that condition...

When do you cancel the £21/month payment? And how is that done?

For more context about this deal, how to cancel, etc., see this deal from 2 weeks ago which is also for a Pixel 7 from O2: hotukdeals.com/sha…914. There are a bunch of comments that should help.

WARNING. I got this deal back in mid-March. They sent me a SIM locked (to Verizon in the USA) so its usuless. O2 are refusing to exchange or allow me to return. I have open complaint with O2 and theyve yet to reply. Opening a chargeback with my bank.

    Would 100% avoid this deal.

Really bizarre they didn’t accept a return, their general policy is a 14 day no questions asked one.

Bought this for £220 a month ago and I regret it. Fingerprint sensor is terrible, poor battery life and issues with OS that cannot be changed in settings i.e. volume control doesnt change ringer volume, back button cannot be switched around, close open apps button at the back of the open apps list.

    Ordered an S23 now... (edited)

I did one of these deals a few months ago, happy with the phone but customer experience was horrible. They forced me to pay for around 40 days of the SIM contract and I decided not to go all the way down complaints / ombudsman. Potentially I could have got some money back, but I had already wasted hours arguing with them. (edited)

If you collect in-store does that means there's no returns policy?
Or because it's been ordered online does that mean distance selling regulations are in place?
  22. Lil6ix's avatar
O2 is terrible in my area, otherwise hot

Was going through the order to see if the code would apply after logging in, but now every time I go to choose a store it initially says in stock, then when I choose it, says out of stock.

Don’t know if it’s a glitch that stock is showing and they are actually sold out or vice versa.
  24. Bilal_Waseem's avatar
I went to the store, and they informed me that they don't have these items available because they only deal in new ones and not "like new" ones.
