If you take the B grade over the A grade, it's only £229.88!

You can also save a bit more if you choose the Quadro M2000 over the P2000 but if you are planning to keep the GPU, the P2000 is a lot faster (and more valuable for resell too).

The specs is 6 years old. At today's electricity cost, you are probably better off pick something more recent for pretty much anything you plan to do. (edited)

E3-1270v6 = i7 7700 without an integrated GPU. P2000 is a 1050.. this would actually make a decent CCTV box with BlueIris added but gaming would be very average. (edited)

Or a cheap NAS. Or NAS and Plex and BI. I used to do this on a T20.

Good price but 4 cores makes it obsolete for my use. But for others may be great (edited)

What are you trying to do with it, out of interest? Have you tried the other big eBay resellers like ComputersinLeeds? They often have the larger workstations like the Dell Precision 5810 for similar or less money - those can accept Xeon V4s with up to 22-cores.

Pretty decent deal. Bearing in mind the cheapest P2000 cards are going for £150 on Ebay. And these cards do not require an additional power connect so will be at a premium. So that's £116 for 32gb ram, 8 thread CPU and SSD, case etc. Most games are GPU dependent, so I'd probably sell the quadro card and get a RX 580 or something and swap out the power supply. This will play most games at decent settings. Good luck with The Last of us however.

Do people actually buy P2000 for that price? I think you can probably just buy 1080 for similar price?

How good for blender renders? Have a gtx 1070 8gb in a desktop and 16gb of ram?

Worse. The P2000 is a 1050 with more RAM and certified drivers.

Why is everyone talking about gaming.

This is an absolutely epic deal for anyone doing workstation based tasks.

    Autocad for example.

This is what this system was designed for, it's not a gaming rig.

So find the laptop now that would be twice as expensive than this workstation, with 32gb of ram, even with low end dedicated card and we would talk after that. Not to mention with some storage expansion available.

It’s Kaby Lake and it’s fine even today. A cheap laptop is definitely not faster than this…

Not sure why everyone is talking about performance and energy use when the main consideration of a gaming pc is how good the RGB lighting is.

Good deal. I think people don't realise that Quadro cards alone go for a lot. Couple with 32gb of RAM, so long as you aren't going to use it constantly doing intensive work (factoring in the electric costs), then this looks like a great deal. People keep saying a laptop is better, but find a laptop with a dedicated GPU and 32gb of RAM for £266..

Tbh, that would have been the Dell Precision 5530 or Lenovo ThinkPad P52 from ITZOO which had P1000 graphics and 16/32GB RAM for the same kind of money a few months ago but yes, you’re right, this is a good deal for what you get. The Quadro P2000 has 4 DP outputs and still goes for over £100. It’s a great general purpose machine and will even do some eSports gaming.

Likely better performance (and definitely beyyer efficiency) with a 5600g build.

For the same money with 32GB RAM, 256GB SSD and dedicated graphics?

Nice prebuilt, this would have cost £1.5-2k when new. Chassis looks smart too. CPU probably around i7-7700 level and the P2000 is about GTX 1050 but it does have quad DP output which is useful for people who want a system like this for trading, professional or multi monitor general use. 32GB RAM means you’ll probably not need to increase that before this reaches EOL. Can’t really knock it for the money when it’s warranted too - not everyone wants to buy from Facebook or build themselves.

After getting windows on this and tweaking some drivers and stuff I have to say i'm really happy with it. It is really good for photo/video editing can run video preview windows in 4k with no issues at all.

I can play Apex legends on 1080p very comfortably over 60fps with most settings on high.

For just over £200 (I got the b grade) this thing is fantastic.

Decent if you only have <£300 and absolutlely require something with a dedicated GPU? It's not up to much as a gaming machine but if you're budget limited and need to do some video encoding then maybe?

Wouldn't say much of a deal sorry, I picked up a E3-1240v2 for 18 quid the other day which is about 20% slower then this CPU.

If it it was 200 quid then yeah be decent deal.

It's 4 generations newer, comes with 32GB RAM and a half-decent Quadro GPU, price is fine for what it is.

I was initially going to flame this and point towards one of Sarden's 5600g deals for £299 but the GPU is equivalent to a 5gb 1050 ti and surprisingly capable at 1080p in older titles. If you need basic gaming and really can't afford more this would get you there in a range esport titles at 1080p. Reluctant heat.

it's like you read my mind been weighing this up all day, currently got a QNAP & Synology and thinking of replacing them both with this instead.... plus potential upside of selling the graphics card on to make it even cheaper! (edited)

Half tempted by this for use as a console. I've only got a 1080p monitor and will do for some time so would not be trying to game at 4K. Appreciate there's a video in the thread but does anyone have any further insight on how well this would operate for gaming (both on current / recent games and games being released in the next few years?). Also worth saying that I'm someone who can tolerate lower frame rates.

Between PS3 and PS4 level performance. Not worth it. A Series S would be a better investment, or even a used PS4 (Pro) etc (edited)

BTW, do check if your graphics card can fit into this chassis if you intend to add or replace the original P2000, you will be surprised by how limited the space is.
