Beware of the ram upgrade on Dell's, I saw on the advertisement on the dell website that said "up to 16gb", but when I enquired further I was told that meant they had a 16gb option machine available, and not that the 8gb machine I was looking at was upgradable to 16gb, as it was 8gb soldered ram with no spare ram slot.
A bit misleading really, and worth making sure before you place an order. (edited)

Yeh that is some sketchy stuff. Upgradeable laptops have become critically endangered

Strange that you can't choose options. when I try to change RAM, everything changes including CPU. There is also no backlit keyboard option, unusual for this price range
