sorted byAs a lot of others I have had my Huawei P30 Pro since launch and haven't really found anything to replace it over the years which can match the battery life/camera/waterproof, I was holding out for the Xiaomi 13 pro but after looking at dxomark I decided to go for the Magic 5 Pro and it is exactly what I expected... An upgraded P30 Pro!
The camera is a huge leap forward, the software is (almost) exactly the same, even down to being able to transfer items from the Honer->Huawei using Huawei/Honor share (not the other way though), and it just feels like a proper upgrade to the P30 Pro.
So glad I went with it and after 2 days I've managed to end the day on around 65% battery with decent usage whereas the P30 would be around 40% (but was 4 yrs old).
Still can't believe their Huawei P30 Pro deal for £260 back in late 2019, & haven't found a suitable replacement for a reasonable price... yet! (edited)
