Yes, I do feel annnoyed something goes in ear making it blocked. agree apple style earbud are more sensible option.

chocl801

To those who's had this before, how's the sound quality and batt life ? :/

naveedk

I generally used to have the same problem, but I've found with this style, with the over ear bit, they're fine, and they never fall out. Even use them for a few hours at a time sometimes, and ears don't feel any discomfort

NeoDoug1

Serious question : am I the only person who hates these little rubber in-ear things? I really don't like how they fit in my ear - it's just not comfortable... (And I have tried different sizes). Not only that, but I keep losing the rubber bits all the time... For me, I much prefer the feel of the ones that sit in your ear at an angle, like the Apple ones (although I'm not an Apple fan). Maybe I just have funny shaped ear canals?

Oh sorry, I forgot ranting about nothing in particular for no real reason at someone trying to help is a sign of great serenity. My bad.

dribspak

That's subjective really. I tend not to start with "lol" when I'm upset. I'm sure there are other places you can troll. Nice chatting to you though. <3

Bazallworks

You sound upset

dribspak

Lol. Just cause you were born to a sixteen year old school drop out doesn't mean we all were. Not all granddads are in their 30s like yours. I just appreciate music where lyrics actually meant something

RUBBISH. first time I used it (3 months after purchase) on air plane plug them in and the cable on the left ear is loose and sounds either dead or crackly and you have to hold the wire in a certain position for it to work. amazon didn't give a monkeys neither did seller despite the 12 month guarantee

Can you hear outside noise though? Like cars? I'm after some that will be good for cycling.

For those of you who were wondering like me if the reviews were fake, they are mostly genuine: https://reviewmeta.com/amazon-uk/B017I9CBPC

I have these (i think, or a similar model) bought for a similar price from Amazon about a year ago. only use them at the gym First 2 weeks they were amazing, then for about a month they were playing up, anytime my arms would pass my neck, for example Lat pulldowns, Shoulder presses etc my sound would stutter or jump/stop completely. No idea what would cause it and it used to annoy the hell out of me, then out the blue it just stopped doing it and hasnt happened for a very long time. Hold their charge quite well too.

hollger

Thought it was absolutely typical, just bought these Monday on a daily deal - but that's the newer model, although I can't see many differences other than a different in-line control and a claimed 8hr battery life vs 6hr on these. To echo some comments from above though, although they do come with a variety of interchangeable buds they all have the ear hook on, so if you don't want these for sport you might want to look elsewhere. The SoundPEATS Q30 are the same price (as the newer TaoTronics) and come with a load of different buds with and without the hook. I swapped mine with some I had on a pair of unused wired headphones and am fairly happy with them now, but it can be a little awkward to achieve a tight seal. Once you've got that though they do sound very good, somewhat surprisingly.

The ability to switch Audio Codeces including aptx and aptX HD is baked into Vanilla Oreo. (Unless for some weird marketing reason a manufacturer should choose to delete it). As for the P20, it is listed as aptX compatible. See here in the connectivity section. Your phone and bluetooth device should automatically select the best quality playback codec option available to both of them. However you can manually set a preferred codec hidden away Here in the Developer settings in vanilla Oreo. It may be moved in an OEM Oreo build, so check where it actually is on your phone.

kads

Had to return mine, kept needing to pair from scratch every time I wanted to connect.

ScoobyStoo

Hmmmm, I don't think that's strictly true. When buying a functional product (as opposed to a cosmetic one such as clothing, shoes etc) the majority of people aren't interested in the actual item. They are simply looking for the product that delivers the best functional bang for their buck in that price bracket. As such an alternative which offers much better performance for a negligible increase in price should be highlighted IMHO.

Kei1

You must know that not every Oreo based or even the near flagship smartphones out there support aptX. Take for example the Huawei P20, no aptX support. I would however purchase aptX supported earphones to future proof in case I do get an aptX compatible phone.

satchef1

Got mine today. Quite happy with them. Vastly better than the Kitsound ones I bought (and returned) last month. Comfortable, with acceptable sound quality. It'll be interesting to see what battery life is like. For £13.59, I'm pretty happy TBH. Seem comparable to wired headphones I've had in the same price bracket in the last.

They were Sony ones I had the problem with!. It was the shape/size of the headphone in my case that was the issue. This is fixed and cannot be changed. There were silicone pieces also but these made no difference as the main piece was just ‘too big’. No one else wanted them either as they wouldn’t fit in their ears!

Sawb

Stop buying cruddy ones, all in ear ones ive purchased (sony/sennheisers) have 3 sets of silicone pieces to accommodate different ear sizes, goes for the cheap xiaomi ones that get posted on here (i believe) aswell,

steve765

Yes. I found the same with other makes also. Completely useless due to their large size. And quite often you don’t find this out until you gave opened the sealed packaging (are out of the shop) so you can’t take them back either!. Maybe they are not for purpose...however I guess they must fit someone so you probably can’t go down that road either!. So frustrating. I’m sure manufacturers are aware of this but you have given them your money by then & it’s too late!

Rimi

Buy yourself and you will have a proof.

norville555

Bought these from hmv at 3.99, they are massive, won’t fit in my ears or any of my family so binned them. would be ok if you had a set of rugby players ears..

Not sure why these started cold. I have a pair and they are really good. It takes some time to break them in, but they have a very interesting sound signature and they are quite robust (I have been using them for running and gym and anything in between). I have much much more expensive IEMs and yet I find myself using these all the time. On the negative side, the eartips are not standard and may not be to everyone's liking. I have had the next model (EP52) which use standard tips but they only lasted a couple of weeks.

Better than the Anker / Taotronics offerings from Amazon? Anyone with experience of both, please comment
