Mate, Sony earphones are in-ear ones, don't mix with Sony mdx 650. I have no idea why your hate this earphones, but they are really good. I would not have paid 170£for them for sure, but for 40£ they are amazing. And well, so what that drivers are 40p? Actual physical parts of every poroduct are not that expensive, most of cost come from R&D, design/engineering, royalties and marketing combined.
As a final comment on this, your opinion has been completely swayed by the fact that they were originally priced up at £170. Throwing a lot of other products and statements around where you work into the mix in no way supports the preposition that if you reduce the price of an item it will sound better. Especially when only one of the mentioned products is a roughly equivalent item: comparing in-ears to a group of on/over ear cans makes no sense whatsoever. It's a marketing man's dream. Especially in a market like 'phones: make them look the part and heavily overprice them and hope to sell a few. Just a heavily discount them and hope to sell the rest. And my statement works perfectly well in any situation where the consumer can't actually see what's inside the product. Such as some 40p a pair drivers. Or can't tell what the detrimental effect of poor cable choice will until they are actually out and about wearing them. Anyway, as with everything else on this site, you get to spend your own money as you please. As long as you are happy that's all that matters in the end.
It's easy to overdrive AF78 because of their low resistance (16 ohms only) and high sensitivity (108dB). In comparison for instance Sony MDR-EX650 32ohms, 105dB. Audiofly sound loudest compared to any other earphones I've got.
I partly agree that price doesn't necessary is related with quality. But good luck finding earphones for 40£ that sound like 700£ ones. I work in engineering company and I know that prices of cheaper products are lower due to use of less advanced and cheaper solutions, materials and etc. Hence the performance of lower end products is lower. So, you statement doesn't work when you compare products in completely different leagues. P. S. got these headphones. For 40£ they are great, and as said they start to show distortions only at very high volumes, at which you should never ever listen. Tested on Ibasso dx90 and compared with Sony MDR-EX650AP (40-50£ price range). I audio have B&O H6, V-MODA LP2, Senheiser Urbanite, AKG Q701, so I have stuff to which I can compare them.
Price and quality are not necessarily related, and these are a clear example of that. Just as, for you anyway, quotation marks don't indicate a quote. The market loves people like you, you buy up all the crap that wealthier people didn't fall for in the first place. Enjoy.
Well people seem to be voting could not based on the price or sound quality but because it's a knock-off These will be ok for podcasts and using them for 'emergency'
Just tested as requested and compared to my AKG headphones they are as expected, tinny as hell. They work fine and sound ok for what I use them for (podcasts whilst dog walking). What cheap earphones do people recommend as it's obviously not these?
Just received my 'genuine' earphones
How do they sound?
Ordered two sets yesterday and they arrived this morning.
For ultra cheap earphones look the KZ EDR1 (or KZ ED2) for about $3 but educate your kids first on how to safely use any of them... hearing protection is often neglected until it is too late...
You can also use code "GBmidyear2018" for 10% off
Cost me 86p, cold. I think you're supposed to shove them well into the ear canal. I don't like them.
i have these and they keep falling out of my ears. how are you meant to secure them so they stay in the ear??
Sounds like the OEM AKG headphones I got from Zapals...utter shyte.
priced at 7.95 again now :\ expired.
Thanks OP, appear to have reserved the last one in local store (Irvine) which probably means 'out of stock' when I collect from store! (skeptical)
None within closest 9 stores but that is fine. Deal is hot for those with stock near. Not going be so petty as to vote cold because I can't benefit.
They do have a lot more on offer- I ended up buying £40 wireless pair reduced to £10 ;)
ordered one :)
Great sound 3 sets lasted (various family members) less than a year with daily use for me.
Afwul, but cheap
Good set, were better at a fiver, but this is still a fair price worldcup
Of course not. If you need service, just do a System Restore via iTunes before taking it in. Jailbreaking isn't permanent, you know. > In reference to the updates, yes you can get apple updates which will slow down your ipad making it useless or you could just download a decent antivirus app on android, I know which I'd prefer. Please. I know someone running the current iOS11 on a 5-year-old iPad Air with 1Gb RAM and it's no powerhouse but it's still more responsive than some of the jerky, laggy garbage on current Android tablets. And antivirus? Don't need it on iOS so that's one less system resource hogging up the background. > As for steaming, can you just stream from your ipad to a smart TV, or does it have to be an apple TV, or your ipad requires another dongle (which is an extra cost) Uhhh...yes you can. I stream from my iPad to a Samsung Smart TV as well as a Chromecast and Roku. I don't own an Apple TV as I don't need or want one. As for dongles - don't need one, but handy for when you want to hardwire HDMI to a TV in, say, a hotel room. Can't do that on the MediaPad or most Android tablets as almost all of them have no HDMI-out or MHL support. Off the top of my head: iPad - Chromecast, Roku, AirPlay, HDMI and VGA (via adapter) MediaPad - Chromecast, Roku So the iPad offers more connectivity options - who knew? > for around £25 I can add 128 gb card nice and neat inside the tablet, how much would it cost for you to add that to an ipad Cheapest decent quality (SanDisk, Samsung) Class 10 128gb card on Amazon right now is £30 - great for media, can't be used (officially) for apps (which would be slow as molasses off a microSD anyway - been there, done that). It costs £90 more to bump up to 128gb internal storage on the iPad - so, yes, your solution is cheaper but it's also restricted. The iPad storage can be used to add apps, games etc and is much faster. If all you want is more storage without anything "hanging off your tablet" as you put it, get a Verbatim MediaShare Wireless for around £35 which allows you to add SD cards, hard drives - terabytes worth if you must - over WiFi. > I'm not doubting that apple make good quality devices, but their limited restrictive software is their downfall Apple currently has 66% of the entire worldwide tablet market. Some downfall. http://gs.statcounter.com/vendor-market-share/tablet/worldwide
So you have to give up your manufacturer warranty to get the apps you want, rather than simply downloading them? In reference to the updates, yes you can get apple updates which will slow down your ipad making it useless or you could just download a decent antivirus app on android, I know which I'd prefer. As for steaming, can you just stream from your ipad to a smart TV, or does it have to be an apple TV, or your ipad requires another dongle (which is an extra cost) and who wants something hanging off your tablet. Same with the memory, for around £25 I can add 128 gb card nice and neat inside the tablet, how much would it cost for you to add that to an ipad and you'll have an ugly device hanging off your tablet, it's a bit like chavs who add stick on spoilers to their Nissan micra, it just looks crap. The 32gb is plenty for app storage, photos/music/films can easily go on your MicroSD card, and if you're desperate for extra app storage use an app called apps2SD. I'm not doubting that apple make good quality devices, but their limited restrictive software is their downfall, I know plenty of apple fans owners of their phones, whom buy an android phone/tablet for the benefits that android offer, but I don't know any people with android devices that buy apple phone/tablet as well, why would you need to?
Couldn't agree more, apple get rinsed for being poor value for money compared to their android counterparts in the phone space. I would say the same was true in reverse in the tablet space
This is a fantastic tablet, especially the sound quality. Only thing worth noting is there is no multi user support, which is strange given that it's stock Android
My bad. Is it really necessary nowadays. Yes I think so. This trend has introduced by apple and all other manufacturers has start to follow. I have no clue (fierce)
Argyle Street, Glasgow has loads of these if anyone's looking!
They're at the electronics aisle, where screen protectors and other gubbins are.
Which aisle are they in
Didn't see unicorn headphones where I was (think I spotted them in Trongate, Glasgow on Wednesday night) but I was put off buying as I thought they'd be broken within days. The ones I saw had "wink emoji" designs on the earpieces. Would be interested to know if anyone's tried these :) - not for me - my youngest niece :) :D
Seen in Corby
Yep. Sold em after a week. Again the drop out, annoying single ear problem.
Have you tried the Jabra Elite 65t? I got mine the other day off of this deal. They are fantastic. If you don't like the default stage there is an EQ you can use. Brilliant earbuds, they sound excellent and don't dropout. Plus there is ZERO video audio lag! I love them.
Bit tinny and flat for a £160 headphones. But each to there own.
Sound is very decent on airpods.
I wouldn't bother. All TWS including these have shocking BT connection. The only decent pair (for connection not sound ) are the airpods.
Embarrassingly fake RRP. Avoid.
I managed to try them out today...The earbuds are average, I used them whilst training and it did the job...even when adjusting the bud size...The headphones on the other hand were a good investment, perfectly covers around the whole ear (it doesn't settle ON the ears), bass and trebles were really good and I didn't hear any distorting sound when using both wired and bluetooth. Turning on the noise cancellation switch enhances the bass and treble even further, but never really needed to use it whilst working in the office with colleagues next to me. So far so good!
They should be for this price 😋
Yep lol but I got them and they’re really good
I have these and paid £42 without the free earbuds. They're really good for the price. I'm listening to them right now on the train and can't fault them. Battery life is excellent, the wireless range is good and signal very stable with no cutting out. Also the noise cancelling works well. I initially bought these as a temporary set until a good deal comes up on bose qc35s or Sonys but can't really see any need to upgrade now as I'm very happy with these.
Thanks for posting @carterdeals and welcome to HUKD
Bluetooth 4 isn't awful. But not as good as aptx or direct aac. It's certainly noticeable.
Yeah, the AptX via a laptop is superb, But even wirelessly connecting to the iPhone X the sound is much more improved than any other Bluetooth earphones I’ve used, Granted they don’t support AAC but I’m really happy with them, really lightweight and the clarity of sound is excellent.
Thought they were an overpriced pair of skipping ropes by the picture
Quite impressed so far they really expose every small note! Tried them with my Creative E5 and sound great, as well as AptX on laptop
Thanks, have went for a pair!
I really don't understand why this has gone cold, the cheapest it's been and better quality to some of the others posted. :/
Thought they are £11 this morning, they're all the same right?
These aren't headphones they are earphones :(
Ordered 2 pairs thanks
Already posted two days ago
Keep an eye on top cashback. My track was not right…
Anyone any experience on these?
Heat added and ordered. I miss my ep-830 from creative labs which was the very best on bass and nothing as good as that was on the £30 tag. I really hope they still do that amazing job with earphones
Heat and ordered,
and don't forget tcb 5.25% :D
Hopefully you can cancel if you ordered and save yourself £7.99 :)
Damn. I should have looked harder.. Thanks.
Only £5 at curry’s PC World Link
Off to Sainsbury now, will take a look Thanks.
I got mine last night first impressions are they are pretty good sound wise, far better than my previous ones that needed a graphic equaliser to boost the treble, a right pain on Amazon Music.
It has finished now, the soundpeats q30 were around £13 yesterday afternoon for an hour.
What lightning deal is that mate?
Mine are arriving today, fingers crossed on the sound quality. It is typical, there is a lightning deal on the Soundpeats I had my eye on!
