sorted bymore speakers? it has the same speakers, the only difference is the sub is better on the q800a
the 9500s have forward and upward firing drivers.
the q800a has a sub which can reach lower frequencies thats all (edited)
More speakers and bigger sub. I did sample q700 in currys and its very good so you won't be disappointed
the currys man talks out his ass, I have the q700a and it is a 3.1.2 soundbar, the exact same as the q800a.
*better yet heres the samsung link samsung.com/uk/…xu/ (edited)
Many thanks, I've managed to read about it. Yes, a bigger sub and lower frequency. Otherwise same size, same specs and has Alexa, while for the 700 you can link it with a Echo device instead. I personally do not think is worth the difference in price, but that's me.
Another q90r sub. So have one sub behind TV and one other side of room. Bass is far more immersive
Buy a used Samsung ms650, great all in one soundbar (edited)
If you can get the ms650 for close to £100 then get that.. it will blow anything away up to £300.
Dont think the surround speakers are true dolby. You need upward firing speakersm i have the q90r with 4 surround speakers and 2 subwoofers to boot.

The 9500s are upfiring... They are compatible with 2021 A soundbars.
What 2nd sub have you paired with the q90r? (edited)
just had a look around and not a chance of getting it around £100. Used ones are a lot closer to £200.
It's old but it's that good

I still have my MS6500 curved bar would have used it but it is too high and obscures the very bottom of the TV (edited)
I was about to ask if you fancy selling your ms6500! I got the Samsung q60t soundbar 3.1(claimed 5.1) last year from the Costco deal under £200 with a crazy RRP of 499 and it's really disappointing. Shocked to hear the 800a might be similar!
It's just dull and lifeless, I might have expected too much but my previous soundbar is a 2.1 Philips from 2015ish and it blows the Samsung q60t out of the water.
Don't know what to try next
can you show me your setup please, i cannot find any information saying you can add another sub to the q90r soundbar.
