Ummm. I think you are using it wrong...
The switch has sold more in its initial 6 months in Japan than the PS4, and the switch launched outside peak retail.
Also the stock shortages etc.
Whether you like it or not the console is a success so far. If you don't want one, don't buy one (and maybe don't spend your time in threads relating to them?)
Great deal.
Yeh and I can image stock will be hard to find at least I've got one and if I've paid a bit more that's fine at least I'll have a very happy son xmas
I agree it's a poor design. I use an extension cable so I don't have to put it in the dock. I also have my switch in a hard shell, so it wouldn't fit in the dock anyway, so this solution works well (without having to keep removing the case)

I'm not convinced theres going to be any significant reductions - why bother reducing it when they're selling as fast as can be supplied? If you have the patience then yeah wait some and you might save some money but I say buy it now it's money well spent!!! Oh and I can't wait for Mario Odyssey and Xenoblade!
If it included a game then definitely.
Still can't pull the trigger.
I own around 20+ games for my switch already, so saying there is a lack of content is nonsense. Sounds like your friend needs to buy more games! Obviously not every indie game is going to be ported to the switch, but a lot of the great ones are already available and new ones being announced all the time (edited)
It won't get much cheaper for a very long time. Nintendo is notorious for holding value until the next iteration of their own console
Mine has no scratches and has been in and out the dock multiple times every week since launch. Unsure what people are doing to scratch it.
Not even mad, I have had the most enjoyable dumps in all my life over the weekend playing Mario Kart
As a fellow PC gamer I would strongly recommend the Switch. It's an awesome bit of kit and games like BOTW are beyond belief.
I thought the lack of horsepower would mean the graphics are naff but they look great due to artstyle and excellent screen.
It's also great when you have friends over, so many good multiplayer games.
Trust me, you won't regret buying.. I didn't.
Just need 2 or 3 games for it now and will have one happy boy come Christmas morning
Wipe your play history before you wrap it up

Can I have some of what your smoking?
Yeah... completely overlooked the cost of the software in my original post.
Paying £40-50 for Nintendo Switch games just seems ridiculous now when AAA games can be had on the PS4 for roughly half the price. And to be honest, I could never go back to the days of paying that sort of money for a game.
Edit: and for anyone who is going to accuse me of spouting anti-Nintendo sentiments, I voted this deal "hot". (edited)
Yep, sounds good. January 2020
Had a go on my friends one, they are great just lack of content. I am very surprised they haven't got a lot of the great indie games around on their platform. It would be ideal.
These will be going for insane prices in December - got a feeling they will be on a lot Christmas lists. I'd get it now or wait until next year when supply is available.
