Don't forget to move to a different tariff after the 6 months is up if cheaper/you don't need 15GB, e.g. 21GB for 5p more, 12GB for £1 less - if anyone manages to swap to the 15GB for £6.95 PLEASE let me know how!

Existing customers can change tariff, but won't get the X months introductory offer (unless they double port)...

The Lebara SIMS are great value for money, esp if you travel abroad. One thing that was not made clear to me was that "roaming in Europe" means that you can use your data allowance in Europe. However, your minutes and texts are marked as "UK texts" and "UK minutes" - so you cannot use them in Europe. Having said that, you do get an allowance of 100 international minutes you can use anywhere in Europe. Just remember you cannot send plain old SMS messages while in Europe (but you can use your 'roaming' allowance to send WhatsApp, Messenger etc. messages).

    Thanks that's good to know
Going to Croatia next week and in my head I assumed texting was allowed and included.
But I shall keep to whstapp.

Does WiFi calling work with lebara? Currently on the lyca 1p deal but no WiFi calling and my signal at home is terrible, so really need to move to someone with the feature
    JustaSingh's avatar
WiFi calling works fine on my old Poco phone with Lebara .
  3. HelloMynameIsMatthew's avatar
Sim card arrived today, now porting over number from Lyca. O2 has been awful in the villages in this around the past few weeks, often getting a good signal but no data and calls breaking up.

    Fair usage policy states:
"A surcharge of 10p/min applies after using 200 mins of outgoing and 200 mins of incoming calls"

So if you make 200mins of calls in a month would you have to pay 10p per min afterwards? (edited)
    Scrooge_McDuck's avatar
I think thats one call....if your call is longer than 200 minutes you start getting charged.

Great for roaming. In Spain right now with wife and kids on Lebara. Good fast, free, data while I pay £15 for Vodafone roaming. (edited)

How come I cant see this deals (or any Lebara deal) on the Lebara website? I can only go to them via HUKD links. Are they hidden somewhere??
    Scrooge_McDuck's avatar
    Special offers from affiliate links.
  7. sokoraju5000's avatar
I got charged deal price only the first month and full price the next month's . I called them but customers care haven,t rectified the error more than 2 months. Did this happened to others who ported they number to lebara,?
    BIGGZY's avatar
Did you toggle the auto renew on or off when on the deal. Some have reported toggling that has reset the offer to full price the month after. I've always left it opne to auto renew as will switch it off just before the 6mths is over
  8. davocc's avatar
if you order this now but don't use it until January - is that workable?
    t3r4's avatar
I believe you have 90 days from ordering to activate, so should be ok as long as you keep within that
  9. Richard_Little's avatar
Will this sim fit in iPhone XR?

Also when does this contract start when you activate the sim? Say you don’t activate for a month will it start in a months time then 6 months at that price still? Thanks (edited)
    islander's avatar
It will fit your phone yes. You pay the first month when ordering your SIM and you can keep your SIM until next month to activate it and the offer only start from the activation date and have the 6 months from then. Some people say you might be able to delay by 90 days but don't think that is official. But a month is ok.
  10. dominicjamesbrown's avatar
Hi can I order multiple sims at once or do I need a different email for each?
    Scrooge_McDuck's avatar
    Different email.
  11. dparv's avatar
Thanks, ordered to replace my Smarty sim. I received a text yesterday from Smarty saying I can have EU roaming data for just £3 a day, makes me think they are going to remove the included roaming. I'm off to Italy in December, perfect time to swap

Can I port my voxi number over or are they both Vodafone?..
    jswhat's avatar
You can port between them. I've ported between Voxi, Lebara and Vodafone.

Right, that's it, I'm setting up an alert for "Lebara 1p"
  15. CheesyNCFC's avatar
Cheap deal, but be aware that Vodafone give priority to their own customers in busy areas. Haven't been able to access internet in London or at busy events with Lebara. Shame, as otherwise has been ok.
    Mosteinn's avatar
you havent been able to access internet.. anywhere in london?
  16. deleted486667's avatar
You do get what you pay for with Lebara. My parents had no problem switching but I had an issue porting over and it took 2 weeks to sort out with no ability to take calls during that time until I got fed up and left them for other network.

They're good if everything goes ok but if it doesn't they aren't worth the hassle.
    thenexus6's avatar
I had weeks and weeks of porting issues. The "phone" part of my phone was useless.

As tempted as I am to keep signing up to these cheap deals and porting back and forth it's not worth the risk for me
  17. sdduk's avatar
I have 5 sims the 1p ones 3 are running fine and i have 2 which i haven't enabled yet,
hopefully they will work next month when i will enable.
porting number was fine just took 1 day.
Just one thing try not to port your number over the weekend because it will take a lot longer, you are better doing it during the week in most cases it only takes a day.
    manwithaplan's avatar
I read somewhere that the 1p SIM cards will stop working after 30 days and there is no point in hoarding it anyway? Any thoughts?
  18. Chris_Bucknell's avatar
Sorted for Spain and 15g for £1.34 even here is cheap for what we need it for if we get a 1p then we'll get one but hey can't grumble!
  19. Ferris's avatar
Tempted by this, then remembered I barely use 1gb every month on the 12gb.deal, so most of my 1p is going to waste anyway 😡
  20. Amir14's avatar
Does it only activate once you put the sim into a phone? I’m currently on lebara for £1.99 for the 12GB plan which expires in January, so if the offer activates after first use then perfect
    Alexxi119's avatar
Yes, but you have to activate the SIM within 90 days.
  21. Dabbsy's avatar
Maybe a stupid question but do these sims come with a mobile number or are they looking for you to port your own number across
    Scrooge_McDuck's avatar
I've never heard of a sim coming without a mobile number...that's a new one on me.
  22. Kelvincc's avatar
Anyone know how to activate the next month’s allowance early? I’ve zeroed out my data early by a few days and rather than buying more data it would be better to activate the next month’s allowance early and bring forward the renewal date. Giffgaff allowed you to do this, but I can’t find the option with Lebara
    Scrooge_McDuck's avatar
Nobody allows you to bring forward monthly data that you haven’t yet paid for. Giff gaff works differently as it sells “goody bags”. You obviously needed a plan with more data.
  23. furber's avatar
Will this (data) work in an iPad Pro?
    screech123's avatar
    Yup. Use it in mine
  24. jediknight111's avatar
Since I'm with Vodafone, and they use the same network

Will there be any issues with porting my number across?
    Muig1972's avatar
I doubt it, people are always going on about porting to/from ASDA mobile, which also uses the Vodafone network. In fact, I ported from Vodafone to ASDA.
  25. tornado63o's avatar
Ends 31 Oct, that means deal wont got up in price but might go down even more in between that time?
  26. Kiershay's avatar
Can you put a cap on Lebara.Going to get one for my grandson but don't want a big bill turning up.if he runs out of data.
    Muig1972's avatar
Looking at my online Lebara dashboard, there's a feature called "auto-topup" which will apply more credit if you drop under a certain amount. Obviously you'd be wanting to keep that switched off.
  27. haribo789's avatar
Can I get this now and if they offer a better deals in next month or so (eg Black Friday offers) can I then take one of those? Wish to keep my current mobile number throughout.
    Scrooge_McDuck's avatar
Doing this whilst keeping your number would complicate things...you'd port your number into Lebara, then have to port out to another provider then port back to your new Lebara deal.
  28. nsx2050's avatar
    Do they do esim?
    Yogeshmistry81's avatar
Nope. Only eSim providers are O2, EE, Vodafone and 3. The others like Lebara piggyback on one of the four networks, so they can’t do them. Big bummer
  29. haribo789's avatar
How soon could number be ported / transferred from my current provider?
    thenexus6's avatar
    3-4 working days maybe?
  30. bigfatfred's avatar
If roaming in India, does this just include the data? The description is unclear.

    "Roaming in India :
As a Lebara customer, you can use your UK plan allowances to keep connected in India, at no extra cost"
    t3r4's avatar
Max 10GB and 200 mins of roaming only in India, go on the roaming/international page for this info
  31. bensbb's avatar
I'm with Lebara already and my current deal just expired so I'm on full price this month - do I have to port to a new SIM to use this?
    feizor's avatar
I would also like to know this
  32. gsamsa's avatar
What happens if you don't activate the card? Do you have to pay anything? Asking for a friend
    Alexxi119's avatar
Yes, you have to pay the first month when you order the SIM card.
  33. E_T98's avatar
I recently switched from vodafone to Lebara. It’s been okay for most part but my mobile network is always 4g now :/
  34. Scrooge_McDuck's avatar
If I buy this sim, after the 6-months, can I select to not auto-renew and just keep the sim/number dormant without paying?
    BIGGZY's avatar
Usually the number stayed active, but unsure with lebara whether it deactivates in 30 days after no top up or remains active

    Interestes to know also
  35. adam_2004's avatar
Was hoping to see another price reduction today
  36. chaosengine's avatar
Would this be ok in a car head unit?
I don’t use a lot of data, is that £1.34 per month for six months? Or £7.90 one off for six months… and can just cancel it when it goes up to full price? Thank u 🙏
    Scrooge_McDuck's avatar
Yes. £1.34 each month for 6 months then goes up to £7.90 at which point you can cancel it. You 🫵 are welcome 👊.
  37. Gul_'s avatar
Guys I just sign up two days ago for the 12gb for £1.99 can I change it to this one?
    Scrooge_McDuck's avatar
I think you’ve just got to repurchase this one and accept you’ve lost £1.99.
  38. aLV426's avatar
That reminds me - I am still paying £1.35/m for 12Gb, I was supposed to be on the 1p deal and they keep charging me £1.35 every month!
  39. connoisseur's avatar
The 5gb extra you get for porting. Is that every month or just for 1 month
    CRASHBANGWALLOP's avatar
Would also like to know this.
  40. pdampier's avatar
If you just signed up this month for the $2.50 for 7 months 12GB deal will Lebara move you to this one?
    Scrooge_McDuck's avatar
No, I doubt it. I think you are going to have to sign up to this deal using a different email address then stopping the auto-renew of your previous deal. If you need to number port, you will have to port out to a different provider and back in to the new deal. Be a bit ridiculous to do this for about a fivers difference over 6 months.
