I have to say, Lebara no contract sins were annoyingly difficult to cancel after 2 months.

I just used it for some foreign visitors, but Lebara staff keep giving you silly reasons and offers instead of letting you cancel (edited)

You just turn off auto renew on your account to cancel. Very easy and no need to contact them at all.

i was humming and hahing over the two and eventually decided to go for the £1.99 for the first 6 months and £4.90 after in case lebara becomes more expensive and i can't get a good deal after 3 months on this one.
  3. litwoojczyznomoj's avatar
Looking at the picture provided it looks like it's 4.99 after 3 months instead of 7.99.

Yeah, I think it will probably get a bit chilly in here if that's not amended quickly.

Is Lebara reception good in London? Want to get a cheap monthly sim for son.
    Thanks

Excellent. Lebara piggybacks on Vodafone, so checkout the coverage here: vodafone.co.uk/net…ker

Blanket 4g coverage, and almost blanket 5g too.

The free SIM deal they do where you top up, do you have to top up every so often like giffgaff that aren't working in my car tracker since feb
    t3r4's avatar
If you want a SIM for a tracker you're probably best with an O2 classic SIM from eBay. Definitely doesn't need topping up. Lebara doesn't allow pay as you go data anymore, if your tracker needs that it won't work unless you buy a monthly plan.

Are you not able to port to three and back easily anymore?

    According to their site.

If you’re switching to Three Pay As You Go and want to keep your old number, give us a call. Make sure you’ve got your PAC to hand, and we’ll go through the process with you.

When it did it at the start of the year it was all online and very easy.

    I have the same question!

What free sim is now best to port out and back to lebara easily please?

For international minutes how does it work? I’m currently in Italy and have 100 mins and I would phone my friend in the UK but is it supposed to deduct mins or not? I also phone my family within Italy but using their UK numbers and it won’t deduct anything. Is this right or does it use UK mins which I’ve got unlimited? Tia
    Rahan's avatar
It uses UK minutes for calling back to the UK. If you were to call a Italy/EU number then it would deduct from the 100 International minutes.

Your Mom has to have correct APN settings. Latest from LEBARA itself for Android phones but correct APN for any phone :
    "1. Select "Settings"
    2. Select "SIM cards & mobile networks"
    3. Select your operator and "Access Point Names"
    4. Press the "New APN" icon
    5. Scroll to and select "Name" and enter Lebara Internet
    6. Press "OK"
    7. Scroll to and select "APN" and enter uk.lebara.mobi (leave out the *)
    8. Press "OK"
    9. Scroll to and select "APN type" and enter "default"
    10. Press "OK"
    11. Press the "More" icon and select "Save"
    12. Scroll to and select the new profile
    13. Press the "Home" button to return to the main screen
    14. Your phone has been configured

Should have preferably done before leaving UK but worth a try. (edited)

Heads up, as mentioned by others on here, seems you need to activate within 30 days now, if that's important to you. Ive received email reminders from Lebara in the last few days to activate
    edde's avatar
That's not really surprising given the number of people that said they had ordered loads of SIM cards on the original 1p deals etc and didn't activate them for 6 months.

Lebara is getting so expensive these days!

I missed out on the 49p deal, which recently finished. May go for this one until a better one comes up. Is it simple to discard after 3 months but turning auto renew off?
    innocent's avatar
On a tangent, click the link for the plan you like after logging in. I find that later on when you are ready to buy, it will reappear when you log in again. Whether it gets honoured or not I don't know.

Worth it just to try a different network for a few months... heat added!
  12. dazcat's avatar
    Is this for existing customers?
  13. T_rao's avatar
how to transfer existing number to Lebara
    mutley1's avatar
Ask your existing provider for a PAC code, by texting PAC to 65075, then give that PAC code to Lebara in their port in link on their website

Can I active the sim and try lebara’a network out for a while before porting my number over from EE ?
(I’ve been on EE forever so have no experience changing networks/porting numbers)
    mutley1's avatar
Yes, then if you don't like it, you can bin it. You can port your EE number over at any time.

I’m going abroad soon, my renewal is 15th August and I got 9gb out of 12gb left, how does eu roaming work? Will I only get to use my remaining 9gb abroad? Or would I get 12gb abroad? Thanks in advance:)
    innocent's avatar
How can you get 12gb when you have already used 3gb out of your monthly allowance? Just think. You can buy extra top up if required. (edited)
  16. silver3in's avatar
I've received my free 3 sim today and inserted in phone. Just don't know how I get my phone number? How did you get yours? I have restarted the device twice too.
    thenexus6's avatar
They should text you it. I had my three sim in my burner old phone and it didn't work. As soon as I put in my proper phone it registered correctly.

Anyone tried this for roaming in Poland? My parents put this SIM card in their phone, worked fine here, took it to Poland a few days ago, the minutes work fine for calls but the data doesn't. My mom is a senior was has issues understanding phones but I asked her to go through settings, said lebara mobile network and data roaming on.. confused how to help her as I can't see the phone screen. Any ideas?
