Just be aware it has a ' fair use' roaming clause.
The way it's applied I don't think is fair! (edited)

My wife has a 10gb data allowance, whilst abroad, and still with 5gb remaining she was informed that allowance would soon be used up.
It appears that if you don't use a large amount in UK ( when we are mostly on WiFi) they only allow you a percentage of 10gb whilst abroad.
Various excuses made ' EU regulations blah blah!' All tosh!
That to me doesn't seem fair. I feel if you are paying for 10gb you should get it. Just because you don't max out in UK ( saving them money) penalising someone when they need it is unfair. (edited)

Cheers OP gone for this deal again as my current deal was running out on July 1st (same deal as this). so from a quick google all i gotta do now is wait for a free GiffGaff sim to arrive in the post to port my number out then once im on GiffGaff i can then activate my new Lebara sim and port back my number from GiffGaff.

I think you do need to buy a goody bag or top up a minimum of £10 when you activate the Giffgaff sim so might be better off with Asda mobile or a free Vodafone PAYG sim as I don't think you have to top them up. (edited)

You need to port out form lebara and buy this offer and then port in again, just done it yesterday for this offer previously I was using £0,99 2gb 1000min

    Edit:
Offer Ends 11.59am Thu 30 June (edited)

Asda is the one you use, you don't need to top up with them.

I've had my Lebara sim arrive this morning and also the GiffGaff sim I ordered so I could port out from my current Lebara sim to GG then back again to this £1.99 deal.

However as I've realised just now GG requires £10 top up to activate the sim.

I'm sure others must have done this, so if anyone can offer help on who they used as a provider to port in then out that would really helpful.
    Rimi's avatar
I always use 3 SIM for porting number to and then out. No top up needed, PAC they send in couple of minutes after request.
  5. Tempty's avatar
I've moved to Asda but they say I must wait 7 days to port out again...

Can I activate the Lebara and then port my number a week after using Lebara or must the port be done when you activate the sim?

Think you get 5 gigs of data now instead (only for the period when you pac in it won't roll over) (edited)

if you get this sim before 30/06 can you activate it at a later date and get this deal ? My plan finishes in a months time so would need to activate this sim in mid july. Would that be possible you think ?
    Mooney_70's avatar
You'll be fine, just pay the first month upfront when you order the sim. Then get the PAC code and port your number when your ready. You won't pay the second bill till 30 days after your activation date.

Heres a question for the experts if I may ask, is it possible to port my number for three over to this, this will end my contract with three then in say six months time port another number across or can you only ever port once?
    Mystery88's avatar
You can port as often as you like.
You can text INFO to 67075 to see if you have any termination fees from your existing provider.
  8. snapper's avatar
So if you take this out do they charge you the £1.99 straight away or only from the start of activation
    Mooney_70's avatar
They charge the first month straight away then your second month will be taken 30 days after activation of the sim. I do believe you have up to 6 months to activate the sim.
  9. Bartym's avatar
Numpty question for which I apologise. Exactly what are international minutes.

I want to use this in Canada. Does it cover both incoming and outgoing calls to the UK ? Does it also cover calls within Canada ?
    humorleung's avatar
Only cover the calls you make from the UK to other countries
  10. LinaBell's avatar
normally how long do i need to activate the sim once i receive it ?
    Rimi's avatar
I activated one of my sim's after 4 months and all was fine.
  11. Pethmeister5's avatar
I bought this last time it was on offer, great value, good reception in Devon, on Vodafone network, no complaints.
    carnivaist's avatar
Yes. In significant parts of Exeter, Vodafone (Lebara) is the only network that gets any sort of reliable reception indoors.
  12. sloppy.seconds's avatar
How do you get this as an existing customer?
    sloppy.seconds's avatar
    Possible?
  13. thenexus6's avatar
I joined them about a month ago.Half messed up my number port and customer service has been non-existent.

Might keep until black friday then join someone else.

What's is the earliest I can leave another provider without paying a fee, I started on the 12/8/2021 with three mobile, if I leave within 30 days is it free?
    islandgal's avatar
I could be wrong, but usually I give a month notice. For example, if contract ends 29th July, I will give notice today and ask for PAC code. I’ve never needed to pay for the last month as payment taken in advance. Maybe other People’s experiences are different
  15. gainsay's avatar
So I can use this in a dual SIM phone I guess. It has its own mobile number I assume this no need to port?
    Mooney_70's avatar
Yes, if you want to use it as a separate number without porting your current number. There are all sorts of reasons for having two numbers in a dual SIM phone.
  16. mike557's avatar
My last 5GB at £1.99 for 5 months runs out on 13th of July. So this new sim timing is perfect.
  17. saabuldin's avatar
Need one just for the sat nav phone in van for traffic on Google maps. Heat

You can have Lebara cheaper a LOT. Free! Just introduce a friend(yourself ) I always use unlimited plan for £25, so my introduced friend(myself) get 3 months half price, paying £12.50. And I get £40 reward. In total £37.50 expenses, £40 earnings.
So, I have everything unlimited and get paid by Lebara £2.50 for that
    cocoiffy's avatar
How long does it take to get the cashback?

I am currently on Vodafone so would I need to port out and back in to keep my number

You should be able to. It doesn't matter if they both use the same underlying network for connectivity - you can port from anywhere (except Lebara) to Lebara (edited)

It's back again an excellent deal, just voted hot.

Note - "£1.99 for first 5 months for new customers"
  22. weeZl's avatar
Works well in Spain and Portugal. Switched to Lebara after Sky Mobile stiffed me a couple of quid a day for roaming. Said they sent me an email about it... pants on fire. If I knew I was going to be charged I would have changed provider. Lebara's gain.
  23. ziggycj's avatar
I just activated this this morning (ordered last week). On the plane to Germany for the €9 travel now
  24. Rou's avatar
Can I ask how does this work? So do I top up with 1.99 every month to get it? And then once the deals over I need to top up 5.90? Does it charge me automatically or do I have a choice? (edited)
    Mr.Plow's avatar
When you go through and checkout you'll pay £1.99 however the 30 day period won't start until you receive the sim and activate it, after 30 days it'll renew at £1.99 for 4 more times then change to the std price of £5.90 unless you cancel, yes you have to have it set to auto renew otherwise you lose the £1.99 offer price. (edited)
  25. deleted2790025's avatar
Thanks, gonna get this for our holiday. The monthly fee is what three charges me per day to roam.
  26. alilweirdtablet's avatar
does this renew every month automatically?
    virgo17's avatar
If you have registered a credit card it will renew monthly. However, if you have their app or can log on to your account in a browser, you can disable the renewal.

Just received email from Lebara. WiFi calling now available. Main reason I had moved from them to Voxi (as well as cheaper roaming charges in the Caribbean). Apparently being rolled in in phases but very good news
    tonymx's avatar
Apart from giffgaff/tesco wifi calling /volte has now become a standard - good to see Labara joining the party
  28. humperlumper's avatar
Recently ported over to lebara after being on Voda for years, to get the same service (yes I know they piggyback off Voda) at a fraction of the cost plus they do WiFi calling now into the bargain 🏻 🏻winner winner chicken dinner I’d say!!

just ordered for my daughters first phone contract as she leaves primary school...scorching deal...thanks OP, heat added and will keep an eye out for similar going forward in case it happens again or gets even cheaper (if that is even possible)

This deal or similar has been available quite a few times recently I'd imagine it'll be on again pretty soon.
  32. mtmtmt's avatar
How soon do you have to activate the SIM? I am currently on Lebara, so will have to port out then port in again.

I'm France now with my Lebara mobile - 19.99EUR for 130gb of data for a month, best I could find, performance great
  36. rheumatoid's avatar
Just tested in spain. Very good. Better than my O2 SIM and as good as my previous Voda SIM
  37. internetcreation's avatar
Moved my wife's contract on to here from O2. No problems at all, I recommend.

Not with a 20 foot bargepole....

They mucked up BOTH my number ports.... Took weeks to resolve
    whuwhuwhuwhu's avatar
Did you lose your phone numbers?
I'm tempted, but not at the risk of a balls up making me lose my phone number.
  40. Actionnotwords69's avatar
Typical....had just ordered 2 of same 5gb cards yesterday under 3 month discount offer and already ported numbers this morning
