How does this compare to the Samsung s6 lite? Spec wise looks similar.

Can vouch for the s6 the wife has one, it's a really nice tablet. But I don't think it's as cheap as this (edited)

Got two of these for the kids the last time Argos had them on offer for this price. For the money, they are really good, snappy tablets. The stand case looks flimsy, but actually functions really well.

My only gripe is the screen - resolution is really low for reading text and quite a lot of backlight bleed. Neither of which the kids will notice, so not so bothered.

So hard to find a decent spec tablet in this size, wanted something small for the kids. This is probably the best in the range pound for buck value.

I'm sticking with my Galaxy Tab S5e for now, can't beat an OLED screen.

How quick is the m9 at loading web pages? I'm looking for a tablet this size mainly for browsing when travelling. If it's too slow, I know I'll end up using my phone instead... (edited)

Not too much difference in general performance compared to the 3GB version but not tried games, however the 64GB storage is well worth the £20 extra I think.

Both versions have identical model numbers and software version it seems. Currently on Android 12 with 13 update due 3rd quarter of 2023 apparently

The extra gig of ram should help with multi-tasking. I would imagine the 3gb version would send background apps to sleep far more then the 4gb version.

I've just got the 4GB version from Argos and going through setup and the numerous updates (allow a couple hours if you want to manually force it to update, it updates, says all good then finds more updates soon after!)

I'm going to compare it against the 3GB version this evening/tomorrow... initial tests seems not much between them in performance, but of course double storage.

I just bought the 3GB/32GB version last week for £100 from Lenovo, gargh..... the 64GB/4GB was £40 more.... 5 days later and Argos have a nice price cut and the better specced version for £119.99 so I just ordered this for the wife - this comes with a plastic translucent case and useless (non glass) screen protector in the box, plus USB charger and cable (USB-C)

Metal backed, decent built quality and even the 3G/32GB model I have works well, so assume this higher spec will be better...

I ordered the 3gb last week too for £100 and it came with the case and screen protector so both versions are the same in terms of accessories (edited)

Anyone experienced this tablet, I've mentioned on another post that my fire hd is on it's last legs. It's so slow and I'm in the market for a new tablet. 9 inch is a nice size as I had a huawei tab in the past

Well I have the cheaper 3GB/32G version which is identical in every other respect, it's reasonably quick and well made for the price, fair screen quality. I am collecting the 4GB/64GB version (this deal) today.

This one does Netflix in HD, many don't support HD netflix (google Widevine L1)

Looks ok apart from screen resolution which is a bit poor

Argos has the M10 at the same price for a newer generation, bigger screen and full HD. Only drawback seems to be 32gb/3gb but with expandable storage can’t see that mattering much?

I think the M10 is a slightly older model and has Android 11 (but probably upgradeable to 12) and an everso slightly inferior CPU but it looks close in performance. No GPS from what I can see (if that matters) - Screen on the M10 is higher resolution and 1 inch bigger so that's a bonus (although I wanted under 10" size) - I'd say it's a bit of a coin flip as to which is 'better' - probably pros and cons for each. Any help would be appreciated.Looking to buy this tablet but read that it does not support formatting the sd card as internal memory only as portable memory, does this mean you cant extend the memory on the tablet or you can only use the sd card in another machine. I dont understand what tghey mean. I hope somebody can enlighten me as to what it means I was hoping to maybe move apps across to free up space
    iminhull's avatar
If the sd card can only be used as portable storage, you can only use it to store pictures, videos, etc, not apps. Hope this helps. (edited)

Curiously, they say it's reduced from £190 to £120 despite yesterday clearly being sold for £139 - cheeky beggars
