I notice all the pics of this showing it on a road bike. Would it be suitable for a mountain bike? (I.E. is the clamp strong enough to withstand bangs and bumps from riding over rough terrain).
    Cheers.

The clamp you get with it is based on 2 rubber bands, which are pretty strong and should stand up to some punishment.

Should that not be the case, they do 2 other different types of brackets:

    cyclesuk.com/sho…on/

    winstanleysbikes.co.uk/lez…tem

I have 3 bikes and all 3 brackets. Never had an issue with any of them, but I don't really go off-road.

I was wondering why no one posted this as a deal off the back of the Super Pro GPS thread by the same OP - I noticed this was a great price and mentioned it on there and at least one other person went for it. You're welcome

In all seriousness, thanks for the original post, I'd not have spotted it otherwise. I'll be back to setting mine up once I've typed this!

Can anyone recommend and cheap mounts - I'd rather have an outfront mount.

Also, there's a "BUNDLE" for another £15 with a different mount (I wanted one of each anyway) and a reasonable rear light. (edited)

Was someone stopping you from posting the deal yourself?

If you have the unit, why don't you stick it on your bike with a route and go for a ride? You can report back if it works well. My suspicion is that it'll be clunky and not very good vs the other brands, hence the price (lezyne aren't known for GPS units, but for accessories like lights, pumps, tools etc) (edited)

Having read the reviews on the website, other than price point i cant imagine why someone would want this over a Wahoo or Garmin.
    wobblejobble's avatar
Say I were to double the price of this unit which Wahoo or Garmin would you recommend in that price range?

have had the super pro since about 2018/19 (ish), paid £80 for that which at the time was less than half what the equivalent Garmin cost

absolutely no issues with it - although as others say its a little slow to sync rides with strava (but still faster than the forerunner 310xt that i had before it - because that required you to connect up with the cable)

routing/mapping is fine once you get the hang of it

at this price for the mega its a steal - so i've bitten

Ordered with the light bundle thx

Its a cracking price if you need the light, but I've lost count of the number of those I've got!

Does anyone know if this will also route on bridleways? I know it can link to Komoot to plan routes. But will it show on the map on screen?
    wobblejobble's avatar
From the videos I've watched it shows most paths/tracks/roads that are on openstreetmaps and any routing is done on your phone app or pc/laptop.

A couple of basic questions for those of you who have Lezyne computers.

Can you get the audio notifications to play on your Bluetooth headphones? I normally listen to music but it means I can't hear the beeps coming from the unit - I get notifications from the phone showing on the unit, so this would be great.

When it comes to navigation I've been setting it up through Komoot and it's bang on, including the TBT notifications on the unit. But when I've gone off route.....nothing. It's not attempted to re-route me. Are there any settings I need to select. Any other tips on using navigation would be great!

    Daniel789's avatar
If you can't hear the beeps from the unit, how can you hear the noise of a car engine? As for the other stuff, well you were warned weren't you?

I have a small Garmin (Edge 25), which has been great for many years, but I went for the deal on this with the alloy mount and rear light. What an amazing deal for 69 quid (I paid 89 for the Garmin in 2016!). This is easier to use than my wee Garmin, has so many more features, great customisable display, no bloaty desktop software, just the website and phone app which all works once you get used to it. Been using it the last couple of days and it's brilliant, HIGHLY recommend.

How've you been getting on with the navigation?
  16. y_knot_me's avatar
Does this have maps. I'm going bike packing in the summer. I use Google maps but need something with a better battery.
    weejobby's avatar
Yes, it has offline maps, you can use either the Lezyne Root website or the Lezyne Ally phone app to capture an area on the map and upload to the device. You don't need the phone connected to follow a route, but you do need it connected if you want re-routing (if you wander off route). I can't comment on the effectiveness of the re-routing as not tried it.

What's the best routing/map app to pair this with in the UK?
  18. Jim1_Smith's avatar
They were the same price a few days ago, that's a crazy price!

Any way of returning one back to crc and buying a new one from wiggle?
