sorted byI wouldn't unless you plan to use the computer for streaming or media where you're sat far away.
Hdmi will connect the two devices but pc monitors tend to prioriritise input lag, refresh rate so that it is kind to your eyes. You're generally sat much closer to a monitor. Bear in mind the pixel density also. There is a reason that cheap small hdtvs are not flying off the shelf to be used as computer monitors.
I don't know why it works but it worked for me.
It also confirms for me the TV does have a Full HD panel.
Sound is better than expected, some of the reviews say the sound is the weak point on this model.
For me the overall build quality and very cheap remote control are the weak points.
But for £159 delivered, I would now say it is value for that money.
Ordered last week and delivery literally as I was just reading this. Quick call to telesales and price matched-very well done Richer Sounds!!!
I think the search engine listings for this model are messed up, I think this is the right LG page for this TV lg.com/uk/…6la
BTW, this TV is a VA panel, FYI, so the picture won't be great viewed at angles. Audio isn't great, but aside from that, for the price this TV seems pretty decent picture and conectivity wise. (edited)
Pro tip - if you open the power use grade chart in the LG link in my previous post, then scan the QR code on that, it will open a page with the specs for this TV.
I'm extremely temped to get this TV myself. I have an older 32" Samsung TV, and it looks & sounds great, except it uses about 100 watts normal use, this uses 27 watts (or 40 watts in HDR mode), which is a huge difference in this day and age. Currently using a 24" PC monitor which is also about 27 watts use.
The only thing stopping me personally is I've recently spent about £800 on private dental fees, so thinking, gotta make that back somewhere.
will it work as a monitor yes, will be great for top end gaming, nope
Yep a good bargain ideal for bedroom especially.
As long as your device has hdmi capability.
Because a monitor of this size will be 1440p or higher resolution, as with just 1080p you're stretching the content out over a greater surface area that when sat close to it it won't look how you're used to a computer looking.
Maximum size for 1080p monitor may sensibly be around 24-28 inches.
Hope it works out for your use case though.
Daaammn. Do you have a link?
I'd totally take this for a smaller TV. Especially as my biggest gripe with most deals is the lack of long guarantee and doubts about the quality of courier delivery. Richer Sounds are as legit as it gets AFAIK.
So this TV does have full HD. That's good news for the buyers in this thread
I don't expect super performance on such a budget TV, but just need it to be reasonable about motion blur.
Can anyone give some comments? I struggled to find some good reviews, except the below.
1. Poor build quality.
2. Picture not sharp or clear, also a bit dim.
3. Tuner is weak, does not pick-up as many stations as the old Samsung it is replacing.
4. Cannot pick-up Freeview HD stations.
£159 you get what you pay for, if I had bought it locally I would return it.
Must observe my usual rule with TVs, buy any brand as long as it is Samsung. (edited)
I'm going to have a play around with mine over the weekend. Will let you know outcome.
I am going to give it a second chance, try a few different settings etc.
Currently got the sound on Clear Voice and the picture on Open/Bright or something like that.
I think I may have been spoilt by my main TV in the lounge that is crystal clear and bright.
When I first setup and watched this LG I thought that cannot be Full HD, it must be the lower quality con that was HD Ready.
Thinking they must be knocking them out cheap as a dodgy batch with the actual TV spec being lower than what is claimed, as I think there is a LG-32LQ630B6LA model with the HD Ready screen, this model is one letter different LG-32LQ63006LA. (edited)
What I found with my father's lg 55 was to go in manually and adjust contrast and brightness, seems to be a thing with lg's.
See if this helps en.tab-tv.com/?p=…277
It doesn't answer directly as it only mentions remotes and TVs upto 2021 and the one bought in the post is 2022. Bought the MR22GN remote to be safe, although they aren't as freely available. Thanks for the info link
