At £129 think this is cheap. I've got one myself and like it a lot, the wireless SW is a bonus, hate wires.

Paid more than this sadly.

Curry's/PCworld eBay had this at £153 I sent them a message that it's cheaper direct and they reduced it to £109 (New other) I got it for £99 with voucher but it only has box damage its absolutely new.
My parents have this model and it seems quite decent. Connects to their LG TV without using cables and works flawlessly.
I have to agree got this soundbar instore and its a great piece of kit links in with the lg TV and sounds fantastic.
I am using this model and very happy, looks and sounds very good. Recommend. Price is good too
Hey guys, would I lose much functionality if I connected this to my Samsung smart tv? I want a wireless sub but don't wanna pay the over inflated prices of the Samsung branded ones. thanks

thanks, ordered!
can you use this with a iphone?
I have this soundbar, paid the same in currys on black friday... I did see it in sainsburys on boxing day for £100 unfortunately. Its a great soundbar, revews say midtones are lost and end up coming out the sub, this is true, but I can honestly say, for £130 its a great piece of kit. I enjoy it. HOT!

yes; it has bluetooth
Checked the specs on the page but just to confirm does this not have DTS HD and Dolby TrueHD support? Suprised that its hi res compatible for that price though
Amazon description says it supports Dts-HD?
for 199.99 get the lg 320w wireless 4.1 soundbar. has more channels, surround sound, wireless, bluetooth, optical and hdmi connectivity, more powerful and a better design.

At £70 more - oddly you usually get more if you spend more
they should just built speakers into the TV

Much rather have a slim TV (good speakers and subwoofer is going to make a TV much thicker) and choose my own speakers, especially considering you can't get true surround sound without separate rear speakers.

This is the one I bought on boxing day. Listened to both and it is absolutely more than £70 better. Better sound, build quality, looks.

No, it's the NB4540. I bought it on boxing day, and it works flawlessly with my Lg TV...

If you go instore to get this then beware Curries trying to Scam you into buying 'Gold Cables' with this soundbar in some form of £200 package deal. The cables are around £50 each and I'm fairly sure the 'savings' that they offer for the two are just made up prices with fake value.

Salesman tried telling me that I needed to buy them or the soundbar would not connect to my Sony TV, but you can get a decent optical anywhere else for less. Ended up not buying the soundbar because it makes you question if the bar itself is even worth £120. Buyer Beware!

I bought this soundbar today and a Currys geek gave the same **** that I needed a special cable for £50.
When I pointed out that it was just an optical cable which you can buy on Amazon for £5 he immediately offered £20 off and assured me these cables were special, lol
If I'm in a store and the shop staff start lying to me and I know it, I'm walking. I'll tell them why too. There's no need for it. If it's so they hit their targets, then shame on them.

Side note. If I was to purchase a home cinema system (5.1 with BR player), could I still use buy a soundbar or would all the connections be used up?

I don't ever blame the young lads that they employ, it's greedy management that are pushing them to sell these ridiculous cables/insurance/set up DVD's.

It's a detrimental system that both puts pressure on the employee to hit a target on scam-type peripherals, and pressure on the customer to buy stuff they don't actually need. I'm surprised this type of selling still exists to be honest..

I'm currently using mine with hdmi via the arc. Would an optical cable be better, and if so, is it like hdmi where a £1 is as good as a£50 one, or should I get a decent one?
Digital cables are all the same. It is either a 1 or 0 being transmitted and received. Analogue cables are a whole different matter and quality increases with price.

Optical doesn't support HD audio so go with HDMI. Cable quality is the same deal.

Had the more expensive one £199.99 version for a year, cannot fault it, If the 2.1 at £129.99 has the same features it will be a good buy, though if you can spend the extra get the 3.1 one, looks great, sounds great. Got mine for the hdmi in and out and its ability to replace the tv speaker controls on my lg tv. Works great with the sky remote, Have mine in the arc hdmi feature, turn the tv on it comes on automatically, tv off, turns off then sky remote controls the volume. The only niggle is the blu tooth feature for me, to use this you have to scroll through the function to turn this on, its not always on the background or if the option to have it set like that.
I've just picked this up. I've never used one before... Do I just plug an HDMI cable into the back of the tv and that's it? Or maybe the sky box? Won't get a chance to look until later, so would be nice to know what to expect. Thanks

Hi mate which 3.1 system are you referring to?
Bought one last week. using it in my bedroom with none smart Samsung TV. I've fixed it to the wall using the included brackets. Subwoofer under my bed. Sounds great. Samsung TV remote works with it, without having to do anything
