True darkness brings the light

LG OLED pixels light up independently with no backlight to dull their glow. Now, dark areas are perfectly black with no light bleed or halo effect. Envision a crisp picture with unmatched depth.

a9 Gen 5 AI Processor
Beauty meets brains

The brains behind the beauty. Following deep learning advancements, LG's α9 Gen 5 AI Processor uses Body and Object Enhancing to detect and sharpen people and things in the frame. Foreground and Background Enhancing maximizes the field of depth for outstandingly lifelike image quality.

Infinite Contrast
Dazzling darks, luminous lights.

With no backlight to dull their impact,self-lit pixels achieve the deepest blacks for crisp contrast in every light. Visuals are more defined, so you can make out subtle details your eyes usually miss.

Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro
The details set the tone.

All-new Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro goes deeper to improve the picture. Previously, it elevated just the frames. Now, the technique hones in on over 5000 blocks across the screen for more vivid HDR down to each last detail.

Immersive Surround Sound
Sounds like you're in the scene.

The α9 Gen 5 AI Processor up-mixes 2-channel audio into virtual 7.1.2 channel sound. Feel the action and chaos around you, just like you're the main character of the movie.

ThinQ AI & webOS
Television just for you.

Need inspiration for movie night? ThinQ gives recommendations based on your taste. Set up profiles for everyone at home to quickly dive back into their favourite TV series and receive tailored news and sports updates.

Seamless Screen
The minimalist view.

True Cinema Experience
Now, you're the main character.

Dolby Vision IQ and Dolby Atmos come together for sensational immersion. Using LG's α9 Gen 5 AI Processor, Dolby Vision IQ with Precision Detail adds extraordinary depth and brings out subtle textures.

Entertainment
All your favorites in one place

Ready for movie night. All set up for binging. Find virtually anything to watch on the available streaming apps. With Netflix1, Disney+2, Amazon Prime3, Apple TV+4, and HBO Max5, plus LG channels6, something exciting is always showing.

Ultimate Gaming
Powerful winning machine.

Up your play with the first televisions in the industry to support Dolby Vision Gaming 4K at 120Hz for more fluid and realistic gaming. With a 0.1ms response time, NVIDIA G-Sync compatibility, AMD FreeSync Premium, and VRR support, even ultra-fast action appears clear and smooth.

How do you use both vouchers? You have to select which coupon to apply and it seems one not both?
    Hydromancer's avatar
You can only use one but it comes down to £689 for me?

Wondering why this isn't a scorcher? Surely this is the cheapest this has ever been?

    That went quick…

quick question how does this compare to the LG C1? Does this have the evo panel?

Im very cynical of the longevity of LG OLEDs but cannot deny their superior picture quality…inky blacks remind me of the old Pioneer Kuro plasmas. My old E7 got bad burn-in like 4 years in and was replaced (after A LOT of hassle) by LG with a G1 with the evo panel…anyone buying should make sure they have a long long warranty

It's the C1 panel with better electronics. I bought one a few weeks ago and it's great.

After a code if anyone has one? Many thanks

Works out around £39 less than the equivalent model in Curry's using 5% sign up reward and similar 20% Blue Light discounts. However the Curry's one, albeit now OSS, had a 5 year warranty and this only offers 12 months.

How much is the effective value of a warranty on one of these?

    This has 5 years too.

Just received an email from LG saying the order is “on hold”…any idea what this is

You need to make sure you have a long warranty with LG their TVs do have cliches and LG customer services will not consider out of warranty details

Hottest price between the 55" and 65" CS? (edited)

    RIP to the ‘teacher’ discount
Would very much appreciate a code if someone was feeling generous 🤞

Cheers OP. Ordered the 55" CS for £689.13 with 11% Quidco arriving on Friday. Albeit tempted, wasn't sure there was enough room for the 65" in the corner of my living room.

Paid £1,113 for my C9 back in April 2020 - a hot price at the time - and never expected it'd be cascaded to the bedroom this quickly!

How did you manage to get 11% Quidco?
  10. quigley61's avatar
Have ordered for £689. Quidco hasn't tracked as usual so will need to manually put in for it

    Cracking price though!

How did it get do cheap

signed up to LG but how do you get a 5% code?
    Cossie1's avatar
When you sign up they automatically add the coupon code to your account.

However you can not use it with a 20% discount code too.

But they automatically give you 2% off for being a member.

So the 55CS was £878.99, when you add to cart (after account is created), it takes 2% off that price and reduces it to £861.41.

Then you can apply the 20% discount and it reduces it to £689.13

    So total discount is 22%

Much difference between a few year old CX and this?
    gg1pl's avatar
Not really as this is just the following years C1 with updated internals.

As a second screen it's a good option but as a replacement it's as pointless/waste of money as buying the newest version of your phone every year (edited)
  13. paul.ess's avatar
Thanks OP - ordered at £689.13!

    Few ‘issues’ -

    Quidco hasn’t tracked.
Email from LG saying ‘order on hold’
but then email from Panther saying delivery booked.
    b1g1an's avatar
Perfectly normal, think it's more like waiting for a delivery slot than they've put a stop on it.

Quidco will be totally pot luck as you've used a voucher that isn't approved by them so strictly speaking you've broken the terms, having said that it sometimes tracks if the supplier doesn't check before sending them their cut.

Is it worth waiting for the C2 to drop around the £750 -£800 range or is it a lot of TV for the money at £689?
    Ame86's avatar
I'm wondering the same so interested to see what people say. C2 seems to be going out of stock most places so trying to weigh up if there will even be any more good deals available on it :/
  15. driver8's avatar
If anyone spots a good 50" at a good price, please post.
  16. Kris_harker's avatar
For some reason when i enter the BLC is says " "xxxxxxx" is a code that is not available on the product or is not valid."

    Looks like the wait continues.
  17. AdrianJones12's avatar
Has anyone bought the 65" one? I was looking at buying a TCL C835k for £850. Would this one be a better option for streaming and netflix ?
  18. xp3200's avatar
    OOS
  19. Taksim_Red's avatar
The 65" is still available. If it's added to the OP, the deal can be unexpired.
  20. Andy's avatar
Good find, thanks for taking time to share
  21. Taksim_Red's avatar
Has anyone managed to register their 5 year warranty yet?? Having a nightmare with this.
    AdrianJones12's avatar
I thought it automatically came with the 5year warranty if bought within the promotion time.
