What is the energy rating for this TV?

    G rating

All of the LG OLED range come with 5 year manufacturers warranty
    gummby's avatar
I very much doubt that. Only certain partners offer 5 year warranty otherwise Very would 100 percent advertise that. Where did you see this?

    lg.com/uk/…tee
This covers panel only and only applies to the G and Z models. With LG standard 12 month warranty on other parts of the tv So it certainly won't cover COIL whine. on the G models.

I don't think you can use both 10% and 20% code together. (edited)

1 year warranty but great price.

Good deal but warranty is concerning.
    Rod_SmithmPK's avatar
I wonder what the failure rate is on LG TVs? I haven't heard any horror stories on here. The failure rate for the whole TV market (all brands) is only 7%. That's why most retailers give 5 year warranties. (edited)

Damn need 75 inch not happy with Samsung qled it's not dark enough (edited)
    Rod_SmithmPK's avatar
Moving from LCD to OLED is amazing. I found I had to rewatch much of my film collection and not only the dark movies like blade runner even bright films like dune's image quality were improved massively by the difference in contrast. (edited)

Was holding out for the c2 dropping with a 5 year warranty - but price is very good.

    Was £1350 last week.

I bought an ex-display LG 55 curved 3D tv 6 years ago, was going to upgrade it after 5 years, but still going strong without any issues, picture still amazing
    Masteryates's avatar
That's the boat I'm in Skip-Rat, with my C6. Lot's of talk about TV's being better each year, but when I see the new ones, I really don't see much difference. Any upgrade wouldn't be worth losing the 3D in my eyes. Still would chose OLED over any LCD. Best £1800 I've ever spent. (edited)

Just managed to get Curry's to price match. Thanks OP

Awesome! Do they match including the 10% voucher code?

Both gone up in price now, price now in line with other retailers, so expiring. Hopefully some people got it at the lower price before it did, who were after this model
    Perplexer's avatar
It's back again, just bought the 55 inch for £801 using the code like 5 minutes ago.
  12. MattJC's avatar
Read this is pretty much the C2, minus the panel which is the C1 panel, so you lose a bit of brightness. So still a fantastic OLED, for £800!
    PacoTiger's avatar
Apparentely is more than just a bit of brightness. The new C2 is coming with "EVO" panel". Anyone could explain here if is a big game change this "EVO" that C1 and CS don't have.
  13. Deal_searcher's avatar
Heat added. I would try and get a Currys price match for the 5 year warranty
    JubilantPigeon's avatar
They won't match because they have a better warranty, it's not the same offering.
  14. Trivious's avatar

Cheapest this has been, only downside is 1 year warranty.

Pretty much the c1 with the c2 internals.

    Help & Information

It's actually been down to £800 three times that I'm aware of. I think Box, Marks Electrical and somewhere else too (RBG Direct or PRC Direct).
Great TV, bought mine around November for £800, price matched at Curry's (using curry's vouchers bought from my work benefit portal which gives a further 5% off)

    Cracking deal
  22. Rod_SmithmPK's avatar
    Good deal.
  23. robert_adamson's avatar
How would the 65 inch compare to the LG OLED65C24LA
    DarkKnight8's avatar
Couple of reviews online between the c1 and c2. The difference in the evo panel compared to the c1 which is in the cs is minimal.

    c1 reviews were excellent.
  24. Badongkadong's avatar
Mini led will always be superior in a bright room but that model is a bit average due to low number of dimming zones and LG's meh processing algorithms.
I have the same dilemma as certain parts of afternoon means my living room gets a good bit of sun
  25. noneedtoshout's avatar
How do I get in touch with Very customer service? Got a new credit account approved and before I put in the 20% code the order was automatically placed … they only have a bot style online assistant who isn’t of much help …
    DarkKnight8's avatar
Ring the number and they’ll go through automated options, wait until they offer to let you speak to an advisor. (edited)
  26. Met-Cast's avatar
How can I get this price matched from another company offering more warranty? Is 5 years warranty a must? I’d be surprised if TVs don’t last at least that long!
    crack_shot's avatar
It will last longer than 5 years unless you leave a static image on it for a week
Panel should be good for 10+ years minimum

.... you're not planning on moving though? These slim little TVs always are the first things to break when you move house
  27. chancooluk's avatar
Got this from Hughes in Dec for £799. It's a noticeable upgrade over the LG A1 it replaced. Much brighter, faster and considerably better sound.
  28. noneedtoshout's avatar
Managed to place a second order with the 20% code - very strange as the code should only be valid on first order. Will call them on Monday to cancel the first order - Fingers crossed they would agree to do that as I don’t want to receive 2 TVs and to have to return one. Thanks to op for sharing this great deal and thanks to everyone here for all your helpful info.
  29. Greg.'s avatar
Got this in Black Friday for £728 - it’s a great TV. Find the brightness fine during daytime.
    Ouzoherb's avatar
Brightness was never an issue, only TV manufacturers have raised it so that people upgrade to a brighter model each year.Absolute con just not needed
  30. JDUK2020's avatar
Any sign of a big reduction on a C2 comparitive to this discount. Surely its on the way.
  31. flashharryl's avatar
Can anyone help with where the code gets put in? Can’t see it
    flashharryl's avatar
    Found it, didn’t scroll down
  32. uj07's avatar
any ideas for this in a 50inch or 48? room is too small for a 55 inch TV
    Deal_searcher's avatar
They don't do this model so small but you can get the 48c1 from very. That's £799 without voucher, £719 with code but you need to factor in delivery. Probably best value of them all, considering the a series is around the same price
  33. adiejam's avatar
An amazing price ! but an OLED without 5 year warranty is a no go for me.
  34. pablodge's avatar
can confirm the price promise works with curry. plus it (55) comes in at 809.
    Craig_Basnett's avatar
Yep I snatched this idea too
  35. Skywalker07's avatar
Price has gone back up to £1099 for the 55 now
  36. Pdavfc17's avatar
This in 65 or the QE65S95BATXXU?
  37. Deal_searcher's avatar
If you can afford the Samsung I would get that over this. It is QD-Oled so it has higher brightness and the comparable model would be the LG c2 in terms of competition. Even then I would still pick the Samsung but make sure you get it with a 5 year warranty and be careful when lifting it out. There are some reports of it bending but with greater brightness and personal preference for tizen over webos I would pick Samsung.
    Pdavfc17's avatar
Yes I was thinking more of the Samsung. Extra 300£ but think it will be worth it . Was looking at tcl 935 as heard good stuff about that too
  38. Vomit's avatar
Seems the code has expired now?
    gummby's avatar
All retailers have removed the code. Checked about 6+ different sites including Costco, RS, Currys, JL etc.
  39. noneedtoshout's avatar
Got my new TV today but I’m having problem installing apps like YouTube. Software update and network setting all done no problem, just the installation won’t work. Any ideas?
    DarkKnight8's avatar
Can I ask in the box was there a code for the 5 year guarantee?
