Well they dont offer a veggie option every other monday when the offer is nuggets or burgers.

For ref im not a veggie but this deal is once every 4 or 5 weeks so im sure us omnivores will survive (edited)

Nothing wrong with the mcplant, definitely a solid substitute for the meat version.

Each to their own but i find it leaves an unusual after taste, its ok whilst being eaten but post noms its just weird!

People who haven't even tried one crying about how awful it is. Weird.

It's fine. Bit mushy but fine.

    How do you know.
A few didn't say, a few said weird aftertaste, few said soggy texture, few liked it. (edited)

I don't know whether it was my local McDonalds but this fake burger had no real texture (like it was made from soggy soya) and the only taste was from scorching.

I'm actually moving away from eating meat and would welcome an offer for a proper veggie burger.

Burger King has Plant Based Whopper (cooked on shared equipment, but wiped down and not cooked at the same time as meat so depends how strict you are with that) and a Vegan Royale which is completely Vegan (not cooked with shared equipment that has meat prepared on it)

I quite like them both, I think they're £1.99 on Monday, don't quote me on that though. Plant Based Whopper can be had for £1.99 on Wednesday I believe too. (edited)

Wish I could order the mcplant with normal cheese! Can’t change on the app unfortunately! Great burger

They do it because the McPlant is strictly a vegan burger. If you ask nicely, staff usually don't mind giving it to you in a separate box. They're just not allowed to put it on the burger itself as they can get into trouble if they do. (edited)

A slightly different taste to prevent the impact of farming cattle... I'll take it

I love meat. Won't even consider giving it up or cutting back. But the McPlant is a close alternative. At that price, why not. (edited)
