You Sir are a total tool !! When someone goes to that length to put as much info into a deal I would give it heat just for that alone. I bet if they had put 'bit of blurb' you would of moaned because of the lack of info.

Was here in April, great hotel, got a last minute deal for about £610 from Newcastle for the week. Considering the normal return flight to Cancun is about £550, this is a great price.

By happy coincidence we are across the road at the Riu Mexico Palace right now for 2 weeks, might see some of you there if you take this deal! Palace is a little better than Tequila, but not by much, certainly not worth the price difference seen here. Hot!

Weather is great right now, but a colleague was on the flight home that we came in on, staying at the Riu Yucatan (next-door), and it lashed it down for 2 weeks.

I've been to Yucatan peninsula, mexico, both september 2012 & june 2013. First time didn't see a cloud or rain the whole 2 weeks. 2nd time we had one rain shower last ~1hr.

Don't be put off the Caribbean coast of mexico by "hurricane season". Even the proper hurricanes which are pretty much done by this time of year don't tend to get as far as mexico.

I would however say that the 'Excellence' resorts (Playa Mujeres and Riviera Cancun) are the best hotels in the area and far far better than any Rui hotel if you're travelling without children.

Bargain for this hotel though. Heat.

What an idiotic sweeping statement (trying to be funny and failing miserably), I suppose you holiday in the Taj Mahal.

Lots to see and do in the Yucatan Peninsula beyond your hotel, such as Chichen Itza, Coba, Xcaret park, the Cenotes, to name but a few.

Taj Mahal.....with the Hoi Polloi? I hardly think so. There might be wonderful things to see in Mexico, apart from the Drug related murders, but people on all inclusives are scared to leave the accommodations incase they miss out on drinks/meals/entertainments. And especially the type who go to Mexico. Just stand near any Airport check-in desk for a Charter flight to the place and count the number of the great unwashed in their vest tops / tattoos / dodgy 'gold' jewellery wearing leggings and tracksuit bottoms. It's like watching a council estate boarding a plane.

ps who's trying to be funny. If you want to drink and eat all day in the sun, never leaving your hotel, save yourself 8 hrs each way flight time and go to Spain, they even speak the same type of foreign !
  24. monkeyhanger75's avatar
Quite the comedian Northerndave, don't give up the dayjob.

Remember what this site is for, to spread the word of things for sale significantly cheaper than their normal price. OP has fulfilled that in this case. A Mexican holiday offers many things to many people at a relatively fixed and upfront price, like a trip to Disneyland resort or far east all inclusive resort. How you choose to spend your time there is up to you. I do not possess a sleeveless top, any gold jewellery (Platinum wedding band and a couple of nice watches only), nor do I have any tattoos. In the Yucatan Peninsula drug related crime is pretty much unheard of. I do prefer people to comment based on true experience rather than spouting attention seeking bovine excrement. *added to my ignore list*

Just checked this same deal on Holiday Hypermarket and its £560.64pp so this saves you £24.36pp. It will pay some of that departure tax or even a couple of drinks in the airport!!

    Hi,

    So sorry to bother you.

Just seen your post on the Mexico deal. Please can you help me have a look for deals departing 24th/25th/26th October 2013 for 7 nights.

We want to go for our honeymoon in Cancun but are very cash strapped having spent all our money on the wedding but we would still like to have a nice honeymoon. I have been searching but all the ones I have found are really expensive.

So I would really appreciate your help and any advice you can offer. Do you think if we left it for another couple of weeks we would get a good last minute price?

    Thank you.
