possibly the longest copy/paste description I've ever seen on here! surely a bit of the blurb wouldn't done?

at least it's not on the strip in Cancun. Not far too get out to the ruins at Coba if you could drag yourself away from the poolside bar....

Great hotel, great price and a beautiful location!

Never been but this place looks unreal. Too short notice for work

Good hotel, great price, would be on this if wasn't already flying off on hols this Monday

Some heat from me because I have stayed here and it's fab!

Great price for a great holiday. Cant go wrong with the Riu

Made this mistake once and would never fly this way in hurricane season again. Having been hit by one (big style) it was an adventure I would not choose it repeat. Great if you are lucky though!

cheers for the link mate that works

Possibly one of the dumbest comments Ive ever seen on here. Surely just keeping your mouth wouldn't done?

You Sir are a total tool !! When someone goes to that length to put as much info into a deal I would give it heat just for that alone. I bet if they had put 'bit of blurb' you would of moaned because of the lack of info.

man made global warming,lol

there was never a hurricane season 50 yrs ago

would be tempted if it was th 20th

On the dole! booked!

I was in Tijuana in 1997. Me thinks this place might be a bit different. Heat added.

Was here in April, great hotel, got a last minute deal for about £610 from Newcastle for the week. Considering the normal return flight to Cancun is about £550, this is a great price.

By happy coincidence we are across the road at the Riu Mexico Palace right now for 2 weeks, might see some of you there if you take this deal! Palace is a little better than Tequila, but not by much, certainly not worth the price difference seen here. Hot!

Weather is great right now, but a colleague was on the flight home that we came in on, staying at the Riu Yucatan (next-door), and it lashed it down for 2 weeks.

Hi,

So sorry to bother you.

Just seen your post on the Mexico deal. Please can you help me have a look for deals departing 24th/25th/26th October 2013 for 7 nights.

We want to go for our honeymoon in Cancun but are very cash strapped having spent all our money on the wedding but we would still like to have a nice honeymoon. I have been searching but all the ones I have found are really expensive.

So I would really appreciate your help and any advice you can offer. Do you think if we left it for another couple of weeks we would get a good last minute price?

Thank you.

Some wonderful, peaceful, three
foot long iguanas in the grounds
of the Riu Tequila and on my
visit a band of howler monkeys
close by. Lovely place. Thanks for
the post.

Mexico eh? You do know where a good proportion of your money actually goes, right?

As hurricanes don't suddenly appear, at this short notice just check weather forecast before booking. Wrong airport for me but great deal.

just checked on skycanner, thompson are doing flights same days as this holiday for 300£, if didnt want to stay at this hotel. Great deal but long flight for 7 days holiday. Not sure if worth the jetlag

I've been to Yucatan peninsula, mexico, both september 2012 & june 2013. First time didn't see a cloud or rain the whole 2 weeks. 2nd time we had one rain shower last ~1hr.

Don't be put off the Caribbean coast of mexico by "hurricane season". Even the proper hurricanes which are pretty much done by this time of year don't tend to get as far as mexico.

I would however say that the 'Excellence' resorts (Playa Mujeres and Riviera Cancun) are the best hotels in the area and far far better than any Rui hotel if you're travelling without children.

Bargain for this hotel though. Heat.

Great for the price. You can use most of the facilities and beach of the recently refurbished Yucatan opposite. The beach is the cleanest and nicest I have seen anywhere in the word.
Been once in October and the weather was fine all week with the odd shower.
The other 4 occasions were in July and the weather was very good on the whole but with more storms/showers.

It is a long flight taking on average just under 10 going and around 9 hours 15 coming back. They are 6 hours behind us so you'll arrive around 2 in the afternoon from a mid morning departure from the UK so in effect it's not too bad.
There is a £50 per person departure tax payable at check in at Cancun airport upon departure .

I thought that was one of my images I shot for Thomson in Mexico, but didn't photograph that particular RUI.
these are my shots for the RUI Palace on the Thomson site.

btw there is a buch of RUI hotels in the same location and I believe you can share facilities if I remember.

They are nice hotels in Mexico and you cant go wrong for the price, not sure about the weather though...
