Great pen - I have this and love it (although I don't do as much handwriting as I used to)

Someone in the review stated they got black ink instead of Blue, but this can be swapped out when you need a new refill etc.

Why are all Parker pens sold as blue?

AFAIK one reason it remained popular was signatures and even documents clearly indicated original vs copied documents - until colour copiers came to the masses. A quick glance at a document with a blue signature indicated it was signed first hand.
There was also the permanent Indian Inks (most I've seen were black inks) vs soluble blue in the fountain pen world, the latter is useful as you can "erase" it with these German pens like the Pelikan Super-Pirat 850 Ink (it has this tip which acts like bleach and wipes out the soluble blue ink, the other end of that pen has a permanent tip which lets you correct the mistake over the top). I use fountain pens mainly and those Pirat pens are brilliant for mistakes especially during university exams.

You can get a personalised parker jotter from groupon for slightly less (only £9 with the code PROMO). Just can't list it as deal since hotukdeals don't allow groupon deals.

Ballpoint pen and fountain pen for £15.79 seems a good deal?

Can anyone hold these slippery little things long enough to write anything? Or am I missing the point? They're just for show right? (edited)

I genuinely find bics write better than these anyway. I find these very ‘stiff’ bics flow better

I've used (metal) parker jotter pens daily for years, I rate them!

Slap a Parker gel refill in this and it’s my go to daily carry.
